I have alot of respect for Bad Bunny and I hope he knocks it outta the park but Prince had the greatest Superbowl Halftime performance ever

No one tops the Purple one
Best we have ever seen. Bruno was damn good, as was U2.

Yeah I stopped watching halftime shows years ago. The only thing I want to see during the SB is, well, the SB. The commercials have gotten bad too, I remember companies going all out for SB commercials, not anymore. Nobody tries anymore but they still want your money.

Just for context, Bad Bunny just won the Grammy for Album of the Year. He's the biggest pop star on the planet right now.

And no, I can't name any of his songs, but that's not his fault.

I guess he's an "acquired taste" and unfortunately many people out there think he's something special for whatever reason.

Good for him but don't really care.

This, so this. Don't know one of his songs, but he's HUGE right now. Go do your thing, if people don't like it, oh well.
He's clearly having a great career. Not my kind of music, but plenty of people clearly dig it.

Well, you're here commenting, so you clearly care a little bit. And why is it unfortunate that other people like his music?
Just because YOU don't like him, doesn't mean he's not talented.
And yes, I'm coming from a musician's perspective. It's HIS art, you don't have to like it. Clearly, a ton of people do.

Like always, you have a remote, use it.

The TV was on when Prince had his halftime moment. Mute was in play, and the costuming is so ridiculous to my eye, I just laughed. I remember an all black marching band doing halftime, it was awesome. I watched and was amazed. Every other SB halftime show, I pay -0- attention. With the advent of Streaming, I watch the first half during halftime show, and live begins about the time that ends.
Wait, you had Prince on Mute, you didn't listen AND you laughed at him?

Wow

Are you saying that people shouldn’t comment about what they don’t like in a halftime show and they should just be quiet and change the channel? Imagine not complaining about what you don’t like. Do you practice this in your life, or just tell others to do it?

Soul, I like you, man, but please don't tell me how I should comment on things, okay?

Thanks.

All of my favorite bands contain members that are aged in their 70s. I think that modern music has sucked ever since Hootie and the Blowfish were regarded as a top 5 rock/pop band. In 1975, Hootie and the Blowfish wouldn't have even made the top 100. Not that I am exclusively picking on just Hootie and the Blowfish, but that was just the band that made me suddenly realize that music as I knew it was dying a slow, horrible death. I haven't paid much attention to new artists ever since. Everything I listen to is 40-60 years old. I can't stand country, hip hop, or rap. There are exceptions. For example, I like Johnny Cash and Tone Loc.

To be fair, A LOT of people watch the SB for the party aspect of it. And watch for the commercials and the halftime show. They could care less about the football.
Including many football fans that don't have a dog in the fight. Its's a great time to get together with friends and party!

Isn’t bad bunny songs just Latino music? I for one don’t care for any international lyrics

No, I'm saying you have a choice. Don't like what's on, change the channel. How is that hard to understand?

The only thing worth watching aside from the game itself are the Commercials. That's it.

No doubt. Was just having a conversation with a co-worker about SB. Her and her husband don't follow football, but love SB parties. See friends and family, eat and drink, etc.

Lighten up dude, you should know I'm busting your chops by now.

I know you're not this thin skinned. Damn, you guys are taking this WAY too seriously.

I'll bow out. Which you will appreciate, I'm sure.

Go Hawks
