No time to go through the replies but, voted yes.

I think MM is going to want a true, lockdown CB. We don’t have that.

I love Spoon…one of my favorite guys…but, he’s definitely a hybrid type guy. He’s damn good at it…this isn’t a knock whatsoever because I’d take more guys like Spoon.

I’m talking that type of guy you can throw on a team #1 WR and know it’s gtg.

Honestly though…there’s no way we match what another team will surely pay for him (Think Shaq to Jacksonville type money). Someone will overpay. We will profit via comp pick.

Knowing JS and MM, they’ve already got a mid-round guy or two in mind.

Schneider can and will draft more corners. Corners are almost like a Schneider speciality as he hits very well with cornerback picks. I am voting let Woolen sign with another team. Woolen, at times is good, but he is inconsistent with his decision making.

The guy you’re referring to is generational.
Would be awesome to find him as a rook, or as a trade while young.

Seems the fan base is divided on the Riq situation.

Kept
Released
Let go
Trade
Whatever

Do you want him on the team next season, or should he “kick rocks”?
I don't like any of the options. My choice is whatever Mac and JS decide as at this point, they've earned my respect.

You set up a poll that invites discussion, did you just expect people to vote and not say anything?
Are you actually following along with the conversation?

You’re aware that I was responding to a specific comment?

Broad/general statements are different than replies to something specific.

The irony of this situation is the game in question against the Titans, Sherman was taunting a ton. Just didn't get specifically flagged for it. Again, the bigger issue is selfish play that puts the player above the team. You do understand that, right? And I am saying this as someone who voted to keep Woolen.

People can have whatever opinion they want about his taunting callls past and present im just saying they aren’t the same as late hits.

Late hits are almost called. Fainting is hot or miss. I’m not excusing his taunting, just saying that let’s call it what it is instead of using worse offenses as comparisons

Right now we have a Super Bowl to play and right now I want every weapon in our arsenal playing in this game. The off season will come and this can and will be decided by the team and no matter what they do some will agree and some will disagree

I trust them too.

If they were to keep him because they don’t see a better option, I’d rather have a less talented guy that was 100% a team player than a guy that didn’t care or couldn’t control himself.

Doesn’t mean I don’t trust them, it means I have a different opinion.
I’d rather

You needed to come back to this one huh? Didn't feel good about your first response?

Yes, I am following along. Not sure how you responding to a specific comment invalidates my statement. Anyway, i thought you had a litterbox to go change? Let's get back to Woolen.

I felt fine about my initial response.

If you don’t understand the difference between a general statement and response to something specific I’m not sure I can help you.
The second response was an effort, nothing more.

Kid...you're either on your phone or at a bar. I never see gramatical errors or missed/duped words from you. I'm supposed to own that style.

I think you’re overthinking the situation. He screwed up and most have moved on.
He seemed to be looking for stafford then made a b-line for him. I may not be correct in my assessment, but not overthinking anything. It was my reaction when I first saw the replay. Sure looked like Stafford was living rent free.

I didn't mean to suggest that you or anyone else doesn't trust Mac and JS. I was just saying that I'm good with whatever they decide.

More so than other personnel decisions, this one has to do more with personalities and subjective appraisals. Riq is a special talent and a physical specimen, but he has his personality warts. He's like DK Metcalf in that regard.

In theory I agree with you, just contextually in this instance they fall in the the same type of selfish behavior.

Late hits are almost called. Fainting is hot or miss. I’m not excusing his taunting, just saying that let’s call it what it is instead of using worse offenses as comparisons

I think the comparison is fair when considering players that are highly skilled but have aspects of their personality that impact the game. Not all late hits are created equal.

Agree wholeheartedly.

I felt fine about my initial response.

Fine enough to double post on it rather than edit the original comment. Sure.

If you don’t understand the difference between a general statement and response to something specific I’m not sure I can help you.

I understand the difference. I am not sure you can help yourself from not replying though, apparently. Look, I don't care that you created another thread on it, even though it is somewhat redundant. I have no problem discussing things in multiple threads. I just thought it was odd that you expected it "to be easy" and that people wouldn't just rehash the stuff from the other thread. You would think as a mod you would be more aware of the likelihood of that happening, considering all the work you do to keep these boards cleaned up and free of double posts.

The second response was an effort, nothing more.

It certainly was an effort, just not a very effective one.

Again, let's get this back on track. If you feel the need to discuss it further you can DM me. No need to bog down this thread with all this back and forth.

Go Hawks!

I wouldn't make that assumption. Mac benched Woolen last season for his sloppy tackling and/or lack of effort.

Liking a player and realizing the necessity of sending a message aren't mutually exclusive.
