Hitting someone late is in no way the same as being hyped and taunting after a play. Sherman may have done both but that doesn’t make them the same no matter how much you want them to be the same

You are missing the context, maybe on purpose? The game in question, Sherman was acting hot headed, arguing with teammates, yelling at the refs to the point of being flagged, etc etc, and THEN took a cheap shot late hit on a QB a full step out of bounds. It wasn't an accidental penalty. It was selfish and like I said above was most likely the the last straw for Sherman on the team.

So what are we talking about here? Are we talking about a player being selfish and putting themselves above the team? Because that's the context in both situations.

We are talking about Woolen and what he’s done. His taunting call is t the same as Sherman hitting out of bounds. Compare it to Sherman tapping it up sure but the hitting out of bounds and taunting don’t correlate. Plenty of players taunt on a regular basis without late hits. One doesn’t correlate to the other

Just because one is a stupid driver does that mean he also has problems walking? Let’s be real just because you taunt doesn’t mean you’ll hit players out of bounds. They aren’t the same. My comparison to Richard Sherman was only to show that a good corner maybtaint but that doesn’t mean he needs to go.

IMHO he doesn’t fit the culture. One thing they preach is consistancey. He had a good first season. Then dropped off. Beginning of this season he was not great but turned it around half way through. Not sure if playing great lately is enough to go all in on him . His ceiling is high but doubtful he will consistently live up to that potential. Not worth the money he will command.

The irony of this situation is the game in question against the Titans, Sherman was taunting a ton. Just didn't get specifically flagged for it. Again, the bigger issue is selfish play that puts the player above the team. You do understand that, right? And I am saying this as someone who voted to keep Woolen.

For me I’m assuming that Woolen will be a cap casualty; he has the bone headed plays in him which don’t gel with the teams culture but I will miss the raw talent he possesses at corner. I still hold the week 1 loss firmly at his door.
