For sure Belichick will get in and he'll get in quickly. That said i'm not totally upset that someone who has been controversial and not-media-friendly has been made to wait for another year. Not immediately getting another NFL job did suggest that something wasn't right behind the scenes. I suspect that Roger Goodell is quietly gloating somewhere.

See, my thing is this: if you're gonna punish A HOF worthy player/coach/exec etc, then punish them "on the spot" and let them "serve their time" and be done with it. If it's a big enough offense to make them wait a round, then it should disqualify them completely. Period. End of story. "No Bronze Bust and Gold Jacket for youuuuu" type shit.
