For some reason we have more action on a thread complaining about a player that didn't lose us this game, than on guys that made it possible for us to win this game.
If there is an All Hail Walker/K9 thread I must have missed it.
K9 was terrible for a while. He was a homerun hitter with a terrible BA, because of his tendency to dance/stop with the ball. It lost him momentum, any chance at falling forward, made him more likely to be tackled for a loss or minimal gain, etc. We almost could only use him if he could break contain and made it up the sidelines. (One reason in GL we tended to use Charbonnet). But something happened. A switch flipped and he started just one cut and run. He started to be able to get yards up the middle.
There was a time when many Seahawk fans, myself included, absolutely did not trust Walker with the ball on 3rd and 1 or 2. God forbid 3. But he was ripping off not just long runs, but 4 and 5 yards up the middle.
We don't win homefield in that 2nd Rams game without that chance in Walker. We don't win last night either.
Walker turning the corner was massive for this team. Probably the biggest difference besides Darnold (in changes that made this run possible).
And people would rather complain about Woolen? I am hearing very little about Walker, when his overcoming his issues was just as critical as Darnold overcoming his was.
