Took what it did with the last rams game, tweaked it and ran even more.

They need to do it again if they face the rams. We ran on them pretty easily. Overall tonight’s game showed me we can and will run at will. When our RB get ball and just go, damn it’s beautiful. No stutters, No hesitations, no fancy shit just pure grab the ball and gtf up field.

I’m glad to see they did it this game. We saw big glimpses of it against the Rams. Let’s hope they do them same again.. IF facing them

I was so happy/proud of our guys, especially the offensive line, on that drive after we picked off Purdy on our own 3 yard line.
We took over 8 minutes off the clock and drove the ball 90 some yards!!!
We ran the ball right down their throats and Darnold came up with some nice throws as well.

We did miss a chip shot field goal at the end of it but still, it was a thing of beauty to watch!!!

If we face the Rams again (which I think he will since they'll beat the Panthers who backed into the playoffs thanks to Atlanta), I fully expect them to use the same strategy they used against the Niners.

Run the ball and chew up clock.

That's the best defense to use against Stafford : Keep him and the offense off the field as long as possible.

That and knock the crap out of him and his receivers every chance, "legally" Davante Adams and Puka Nacua, can cause hurt if Stafford has time and they can run their route trees.

Like the announcers were saying, they made the Niners earn every damn yard they got. They made McCaffrey look average, and he's anything BUT average.

Definitely! I am going to be a huge Packers/Niners fan in the wild card round though...while we can certainly beat the Rams I would much rather face the Niners or Packers in the Divisional round.

Funny. On 710 this morning, Brock said the missed TD to Charbs was that same exact play.
That being said, why in the actual hell were they calling a pass play on 1st and goal from the 1, when the run game was working? Holy hell, CUTE DOESN'T WORK. Run the damn ball up the gut from the 1. Shoot, Barnyard it. Pass play? drives me insane.

Worked out fine next drive, but CUTE SUCKS.

I see this in football at all levels.

Given play "X" works.

Stop running given play "X".

As I have made abundantly clear - I am no football savant - but if a play works well I am going to run that play until they stop it.

I would have been more concerned then that the other team's 12 man would have gotten involved.

Run was working, pound the f rock, it's that simple. Pass play on 1st and goal from the 1 is plain stupid. Going for it on 4th was too aggressive.
It worked out fine, but it annoys me to no end. 1st and goal at the 1. Why make it so complicated. They could NOT stop our run. Run the f'ing ball. Even in a massive win, it will ALWAYS be annoying when Kubiak gets cute. NO reason for it.

Same.

Sam swept the Packers last season when he was a Viking so it would be a very good opponent in the Divisional round for us.

But how hilarious would it be if the Panthers pulled off the upset and beat the Rams AGAIN? 😂

Remember that they are a far different (and tougher) team at home than on the road.

Counting that we left 9 points on the field. Shoulda ran and shoulda kicked. Our defense is too great to not think 3 points is humongous

Yep. And it's not just a Seattle thing. Stink was talking about it on 710 ESPN this afternoon. Why are so many teams allergic to taking points??? Why do so many teams get cute goal to go situations?
