Do you trust Myers to make a big kick consistently?

Look, in no way shape or form am I saying he is a bad kicker. He had a historic year and should be very well commended for it. With that said, whenever there is a big kick on the line, he absolutely concerns me because it seems like the pressure gets to him during these situations.

Last night you could tell he was PISSED on the sidelines after missing the last kick. He was ready to slam that helmet down, instead he put it back on and yelled "FUUUCK" Realistically id consider last night a fluke or an anomaly. And the wind looked brutal when they show the goal post flags.

The short one he missed frustrated the hell out of me. I kept thinking what in the hell does it take to put some distance on these guys when we're killing them? But Myers has been kicking exceptionally well as the season has progressed. I guess I trust him now as much as I ever have.

I trust him as much as I trust any of our players.

He’s easily a top kicker in the league.

Yes he absolutely has missed a few at very inopportune moments and that can be infuriating but he’s a way better than average player at his position.

We certainly don’t want to jump from the pan into the fire.

I live in the Bay Area.. less than 25 miles from Levi Stadium and the winds were gusty all day...not saying it should be an excuse but certainly a factor

Tough question to answer with only those 2 options. I really get nervous about any kicker because none of them are perfect and so much has to go right in coordination for success. He has been top level all year so gotta give him that. I honestly thought for sure he was going to miss that last kick against the lambs because it seems like every 5 or 6 kicks he has one of those WTF's. It does not seem to matter whether it is from 30 or 50+ it just seems to go wonky. As far as pressure kicks, the rams game had plenty of them and those last night really did not feel that high of pressure the way we were playing. An upgrade in the offseason would be great if available but only time will tell.

Kicking conditions weren't amazing last night, but Myers needs to make those kicks regardless. Fortunately those missed weren't the difference in the game. Myers has a psychologist that he employs to help keep him level through all aspects of his game, including situations like yesterday. I don't doubt Myers ability, and any kicker can miss a kick at any point. The true measure is how they bounce back mentally, and Myers has shown he doesn't let it affect him moving forward.

If the kick is beyond 40 yards out, yes, the dude is nails.

If it's within 35 yards he gets shaky.

Troy Boy did it to Sam a few times last night as well.
I finally started knocking on the wood table everytime he'd start spewing.
