I don't think it was adjustments. According to MacDonald's comments to the sideline announcer he said the team was not doing the things right they had practiced all week .

In Darnold's case in particular he was quicker to take check downs or run and avoid sacks / negatives plays in the 2nd half. If we can get that Sam consistency the O will be in good shape moving forward.

I saw/heard what he said (during his presser) regarding what he was trying to do on that INT in that he meant to throw it lower at Arroyo's body in the hopes that Elijah would box out his man to catch the ball.

So I now understand what he was going for.

But man....when I see that he ignored an easy first-down and went for a far more difficult throw (which went awry), it sucked, you know?

meh. Whatever. It didn't cost the Hawks because the Falcons are ass without Penis..err, I mean Penix. Though i still think our Defense takes a dump on him, too.


One thing I HAVE learned thus far this season with the Seahawks, Soul? That our Beastly Defense is good enough to absorb the occasional turnover by Darnold here and there. And that's very encouraging.

He actually wasn’t that bad. Pass pro was decent…run blocking? What run blocking…I’ll take it though.

He actually has some decent speed for a QB too.

I just want Sam to be consistent. Sammy D with the D being Decisive.

To me, he’s an enigma. We know what he can do. He can literally look like the best QB in the league at times. Others, he’s leading the league in turnovers.

That was a different QB in the first half. He was indecisive. He was overthrowing receivers. He chose throwing into double coverage vs open receivers. He didn’t scramble all that much.

Second half? Woah…incredible. Yes, some of that was adjustments made by coaches/staff, but that was a completely different guy out there. No hesitation. Ripping passes. Using his legs.

There’s something mental going on there.

I’ll say this again, we win games if Sam has 20/30, 200 yards, 1 TD and cuts the turnovers down (bound to happen…can’t really say zero here). We don’t need him to pass for 350 yards and three TDs.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d take that. But point being, we just need the average Sammy D out there. Not Super Sam. Not Mahomes or Burrow. Just your average, everyday ginger.

Consistency. Looking the ‘same’ regardless of the situation.

I like Sam. We talked about just needing a game manager for YEARS in these forums. That’s all we need him to be.
