He got scared when he realized he was going to get hit.

Duh, only an idiot would shorten their name to reek. Either he didn’t learn vocabulary or he never watched GOT. I would guess it’s the former based on his vernacular 😂
Or he changed it to precisely what every black person he knows calls him. Riq.
EVERY Tariq I've ever known was just "Riq". My great nephew included.

He made a great interception. Then ran it back, but got it knocked out on a great hit.
I would rather he go down with the ball instead of trying to run it back, but if he did that...we get the ball back at the 8 or 12 and Darnold likely throws a pick 6 from there.
The best option was run it to at least the 30 or 40...and he tried to do that.

You should be thankful for him. He makes some mental mistakes but he is a solid, effective CB and we need him. Especially since our QB keeps wetting himself whenever he gets pressured. Woolen is an important part of the defense and this team is only going to win because of the defense.

Drew Lock likely wouldn’t have thrown a pick 6 while handing it off 3 times

Sitting next to my buddy and I was sayin' 'he better go down' after I realized he was playing to score. I could see it coming. I understand being jazzed about the INT and trying to get as many yards as possible, but, the team didn't need that. We just needed the turnover so we can burn the clock.
It worked out, though.

This a fair post but it's easy to see why so many get frustrated with him. He is a shutdown CB when he's doing his job and avoids mental errors. We need him to keep getting better and avoid making the same mistakes.

The game was locked up, I don't mind him going for the big return. If things were tighter, I'm sure he would have played it differently.

Sadly that is why you can't offer him a long term contract, just don't know if he can keep together. I thought he had a fantastic game and is often a dominant player.

It saved the shut out. He is what he is and you take the good with the bad or none at all. He's been better this season and it was still a net + play even if it could have been better.

If there were a better option, they'd be playing.

If there's a better option in the off season, they'll play next season.

There will be plenty of opportunities to shake things up with the new young-unknown-cheap players on D that no one saw coming. For now though, he's mostly pulling his weight so, in the spirit of 3 days ago, I'm thankful for 2025 Riq Woolen.

100%

Those guys don't get to many opportunities to and in that case I don't blame him for not getting down. Same situation but a one score game and he does that then I'm pissed.

But he has been pretty consistently good for a few weeks now. Could be wrong but he seems to have turned the corner some with respect to his knowing his role on D and playing smart ball.

200 (I think from you to Husky)

It has to be some kind of running gag or a bit.

I don't get what TwistingHusky is talking about most times.

But he is definitely Anti-Darnold based on what I've read. lol

He just needs to secure the ball.

The defender made a good hit on the ball. It happens. It's a hell of a lot more important that Jefferson was shut down. And Woolen made one hell of a play on that ball. Reek clearly played his a** off. And he deserves a tip of the cap. Dude gets blasted, often. And I've been plenty guilty of it. He clearly cared a lot yesterday. That's all I wanted to see from him.

Ok. I’ll let you have your say but I’ve never met a Tariq. It’s not like a common name like John or Mike and I asked my African American relatives(my son and nephews) about it and they all said the same thing. Stupid, Riq as a word means ‘stinky’ or pe ew and anyone nerdy that watched Game Of Thrones definitely knows the implication of Reek.
