I’m not so sure the Seahawks are on the dogs at home against the Rams late in the year.
I'm not sure either. Early projections for Week 11 have the Rams around 57%, which is down a few % from where the projection was about 10 days ago. If it is around 57% then the change of venue to Seattle later in the season would project them as a marginal 52 or 53% favourite. If the Rams are 62%+ favourites next week then it would project to the Rams being slight favourites in Seattle. Obviously current form and injuries will cause further adjustments - and being a favourite is no guarantee of a win. I remember the Bills being a 90%+, 17-point favourite to start the season about 7 years ago...and they lost that game. I was eliminated from a 3-life Survivor game in 3 weeks that year.

Good as we've been we haven't exactly had a hard schedule thus far. If we do as well the 2nd half I'll believe, but at this point I'm only convinced we're a wildcard game exit at best.

I mean we lost to both of the only real playoff teams we've faced, don't forget that when you get all caught up in optimism and homerism.

Our one really impressive win was over the Jags, they are arguably playoff caliber this year.

I think the 49ers are still looking like the team to beat thus far in the west, given the injuries and success thus far. The Rams schedule so far hasn't been against world beaters and they haven't beaten anyone significant other than the Jags either.

In their current form, the Seahawks are a nightmare for opponents. For one, they’re dominant. They entered Week 10 with one of the league’s best point differentials, and the team’s latest blowout win only boosted that number to plus-103, second only to the Indianapolis Colts (plus-115). Seattle has the third-highest odds of earning the NFC’s top seed and a first-round bye in the playoffs, according to The Athletic’s playoff simulator.

Winning in Pittsburgh is never an easy task for a west coast team

and lets be honest, the niner and Tampa games could easily have gone our way

This team deserves every bit of optimism it is receiving

As great as the team has played for most of this year, and as much as I want to get really excited, that will not happen until this team beats the Rams. In my opinion, Sean McVey is hands-down the best coach in the NFL and it’s not even close. What he has done year after year with a few strong players, but most of the rest of the team being average is pretty remarkable. He has overwhelmingly outcoached Seattle since he’s been the Rams coach and hope that this is finally the end to his reign.

OK, let me have it!
Rams are our mid season superbowl.

The Rams game next week will have a *bit* of a playoff feel to me. It will be a decent yardstick to measure our progress with and possibly highlight what we most need to work on. It will be a good test for Sam. They have a strong pass rush, yet their secondary can be beat. We just need a good gameplan that takes these two things into account. It would help if our running game was a threat, and I kind of like how they used Sheed a couple of times on running plays. That could be a nice lilttle wrinkle to use, as well as using our backs as dump off receivers if their passing rush is getting good push against us.

Of course, getting pressure to Stafford will be key. I'm trusting that MM can dial-up all sorts of different looks up front to keep their OLine off balance.

It's not a do-or-die game, but would be a statement win and really have this team believing in what they're doing, which is starting to become apparent already on both sides of the ball. Special teams could also well be a deciding factor in a close game, so I hope we're working hard on that end in practice this week

It's going to be fun and exciting.

Excited too

Toughest game left on the schedule by far, chance to show where we are at this point

I'm not worried about the Rams in the regular season. I'm worried about them in the playoffs.

It's time to look to January, 12s.

For Seattle, this game against the Rams are a definite must win!

You can define your team with the performance this Sunday against a top tier elite opponent, who also, just happens to be a divisional rival, in the Rams.

Biggest, indicator matchup of the year!

Should be a nationally televised though…..next one probably will be.

No doubt. Biggest indicator for the Rams, they haven't faced a D Line like ours. Should be a good indicator of where the Rams are.

Why can't you be optimistic?

I know...

Maybe after a Superbowl.
