Absolutely at least think of the field position!Run the damned ball when you have that kind of lead. Almost every time. Especially near your own goal line.
Also, the fumbled snap is on Olu. 100%. I'm not sure Sam even touched it.
The only "perfect" game I can remember lately was SB 48. Those don't happen very often. It is really nice when “we’ve got a few little things to clean up,” he said, after a blowout win, instead of after losing again that we could’ve easily won.
I feel so much better about this game than last week’s. But it came time to protect the lead in the second half, and burn clock, we did so. Sam has to learn to protect the ball a little better in these situations, but given the way he’s protected the ball all year, I think he deserves a little slack
I loved seeing our running game come alive, especially when the Cardinals defense knew exactly what was coming at them
Well, it wasn’t perfect, it was a huge stride in the right direction towards what we need for a deep playoff run.
I think 2 out of the 3 were not on him. The last one was. He held on to it to long.Of course it’s going to go soft when the QB gives the ball away THREE TIMES.
Exactly. It is a place to share a game day experience with other fans. I think those that complain about it are those that go to the stadium and sit quietly in their seats the entire game. Lame. That’s exactly why it has a separate place.

I don't understand the criticism of Kubiak. We didn't let our foot off the gas. We turned the ball over. I could understand if we were going three and out on failed running plays on successive drives .. that's not what happened. 2 fumbles and an INT happened.
If anything, there's an argument to be made that we should have started running MORE, earlier than we did. All the pass yards are cute, but at some point they put your o line at a disadvantage if you are passing too much and not letting them fire off the ball.
If we are running more in the 3rd qtr we may not have given AZ the ball twice in our own end.
But we didn't screw up because of Kubiak. We screwed up because we gave up the ball.
Well, it was a deflected int, a miffed snap from the new center...Otherwise it's just a TD with a lingering 2. Just happened at unfortunate times. Too.. our Defense was on the field a long time.. long long time. We really need to work on our 15 minute drives.Exactly but I still feel a bit unfulfilled.
I just don’t like the way we finish when holding a good lead.
It’s me, not you (she said)

So it was the game plan that caused the 3 turnovers? Just trying to understand.
Because for a running team (like we are supposed to be) the game plan SHOULD change when you are up by 30 plus in the 3rd qtr. It should change to ball control, grind the clock. Our turnovers didn't happen on stripped balls by the RB. We were throwing the ball, same as we did when we put up all of our points in the first half.
Dude, you do realize we didn't punt the ball even once, right? And we turned it over on pass plays.Dude from the point we went up 35-0 - 21 minutes and 27 seconds into the game - we dropped back to pass just FOUR times in the subsequent 38 minutes and 33 seconds.
Yes 2 turnovers came off the back of dropping back to pass - one came from a fairly fluked deflected ball and the other on a blindside strip-sack which came on 2nd and 15 after a false start (i.e. the kind of situation you say OK maybe it's acceptable to try a pass attempt here despite being 35-7 up). That's unfortunate, but also variance. If we were less than 20 points ahead for any point of the game maybe we would have needed to pass the ball more and it's more than likely we haven't gone from being the best offense in the league to one that turns over the ball every time the try to pass.

If we run the ball rather than hitting PA from under center in the EndZone to try to hit Shaheed on a seam or Jax for a big play, we don't turn it over. Who knows how that drive ends.
We didn't look like keystone cops because we ran. We looked like keystone cops because we threw the ball from the endzone when we shouldn't have, we fumbled a snap, and the QB had the ball knocked out of his hands on a 'non conservative' pass play.
Leave the fumbled snap for what it was. An error. Those two drives that we gave to AZ could have resulted in points for us and not them if we don't turn it over. If we score even 2 FGs , the score is 50 to 7. What more do you want? So I don't get how the play calls made the game closer than it should have been... Other than turning the ball over on pass plays.

It's all about familiarity. Sam and Sundell worked all week and then Olu had to come in cold. I'm not concerned because if Sundell can't go then Olu gets the snaps throughout the week with Sam.I think 2 out of the 3 were not on him. The last one was. He held on to it to long.
