The Rams game next week will have a *bit* of a playoff feel to me. It will be a decent yardstick to measure our progress with and possibly highlight what we most need to work on. It will be a good test for Sam. They have a strong pass rush, yet their secondary can be beat. We just need a good gameplan that takes these two things into account. It would help if our running game was a threat, and I kind of like how they used Sheed a couple of times on running plays. That could be a nice lilttle wrinkle to use, as well as using our backs as dump off receivers if their passing rush is getting good push against us.
Of course, getting pressure to Stafford will be key. I'm trusting that MM can dial-up all sorts of different looks up front to keep their OLine off balance.
It's not a do-or-die game, but would be a statement win and really have this team believing in what they're doing, which is starting to become apparent already on both sides of the ball. Special teams could also well be a deciding factor in a close game, so I hope we're working hard on that end in practice this week
It's going to be fun and exciting.
