Exactly. No one knows what JS has done to try to get one either. Or maybe they believe in what they have? But to continue to cry about it gets really old. I’d love to see a DE with the abilities these two offer on our defense. Let’s hope for that!

Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding...Unless something's announced after the deadline, some deal that was already made, that's all folks.

We ended up keeping both Mafe and Woolen. There was a lot of smoke there, but no fire.
For me, keeping Mafe is a win. Woolen? The jury is somewhat still out IMO. He was good against Washington, for the most part. Did have that dumb personal for taunting. Hope he can get that out of his system.

Takes two to make a deal. Also our O line has been solid. Not sure he's the clueless one here

Exactly. And adding a oline piece in the middle of the year is risky no matter how good the player is. The value of oline continuity is very underrated.

Seattle is one of the few teams that have had the same starting 5 all year, and I would be willing to bet that played a huge factor in JS decisions as well.

And so the Bengals will end up keeping Trey and lose him at season's end for nothing but a possible comp pick? Hmm...that's kind of a head scratcher to me. Isn't it? They're going nowhere fast this year. Whatever...

I got a little excited about the thought of getting a top tier pass rusher. There was smoke about it. I wonder how much will ever come out about how close (or not) JS came to making a deal there. Sometimes you never quite know.

Leave it to Jerry Jones to get his lowly Cowboys talked about again. LOL

Our oline might just set a Seahawks record for least number of sacks. Eventually teams will have to take notice that when they stack the box we kill em with the passing game.
Teams are already stacking the box, in response to our league leading 12 and 22 personnel sets. It's part of what is making JSN so successful. Lot's of man coverage with minimal help over the top.

I disagree that adding a top tier pass rusher can't hurt. The loss of cap space and the loss of draft picks can absolutely hurt a team.

Has Micah Parsons made Green Bay that much better?

Not to suggest a similar acquisition by the Hawks wouldn't yield fruit, but if you can scheme your current personnel to lead the league in overall pressure and pressure rate, while also leading the league in the use of a four man front, is the iterative improvement worth it, or would your cap space and draft picks be better used elsewhere?

Well, I'm sure we'll get someone pretty good with our first round pick in 2026 and then again in 2027. (Despite the 2026 draft not expected to be particularly awesome.) We can still say that, now that all the hope 'n smoke has cleared.

I wish there was a way to know what trades almost went down, who they were talking to, etc. All speculation, but it still would be cool to know who they were trying hard to get.

Shaheed stretching the field is going to make life easier on the offensive line. It'll force defenses to back off and will also give Darnold another quick-throw target. And if we score more, it makes life easier on our defensive line, as the scoreboard pressure forces offenses to abandon the run and thus become more predictable.

Very strategic signing that takes pressure off some other holes we might have.
