I love it! Just posted the other day that I thought they needed a WR. Horton has shown flashes but getting Shaheed is a great move I think.

Obviously a depth signing that can help take the top off the defense and rounds out our WR corps as we head towards the playoffs. At first glance, it appears to be a solid move that we didn't have to give away the farm for. But does he run good routes? Good teammate? I guess KK wouldn't have signed off on it if he wasn't. Interesting.

I am no football talent evaluator but we already have a couple of fast receivers in Horton and Cody White. they both took it to the house on Sunday,
I think we are paying too much for another fast receiver ! who is coming in if an O lineman goes down ?

I'm going on record here to say I really really like this trade. The Seahawks are thin at WR. I get that people are excited about Tory Horton, but the rookie has 13 catches this year.

Rashid Shaheed is a legit NFL wide receiver with good speed and proven production. He already has 44 catches for 499 yards, which is on schedule for 83 receptions and almost 1000 yards. And that's with Spencer Rattler and Tyler Shough as his QBs. Plus Kubiak is familiar with him, and knows what he's getting.

This offense needed more depth and another WR with NFL experience. I'm surprised that we got someone as good as Shaheed. You're not going very far in the playoffs with just one good WR. A good defense will shut down your passing game if Darnold doesn't have more viable options. And what happens if you have another injury, to Kupp or Horton? Then you're playing guys off the practice squad.

If you check his stats not that impressive. Then you look at his 5.2million extension by a team that had him for 4 years and you think average.
I'm sorry what? 44 receptions for 499 yards this year with Rattler and Shough throwing him the ball isn't impressive? Per Corbin Smith the team views him as long term. We only pay him $1.5 million this year. He will take the top off and open up things for JSN, hopefully even the running game as well.

I think gabel is a troll. Didn’t back up any the sh*t he threw at the wall.

Shaheed was having a career year last year before his meniscus injury. That injury diminished his value and made him have to settle for lower but respectable deal for $5.2 million. But he's come back this year and shown that he's still good.

Btw @gabel, he only had 349 yards last year because he got hurt.
