Every year the Cardinals are somehow the inexplicable pick to finally go on a real run. And every year it never happens.

Like, NEVER happens.

I do enjoy watching El Shrimpo run around like he's a 6 year old child, though. Good stuff.

as opposed to six all of last year due to McCaffrey.
and the massive improvement on run defense, and the massive improvement in special teams. Jake Moody cost them 2 or 3 games last year. Pineiro has not missed yet

The Niners ineptness in 3rd round drafting has doomed them once again, incredible as they’ve had multiple additional there due to Rooney/comp/trades. Ronnie Bell. Ty Davis Price. Danny Gray. Jake Moody. Now the latest Nick Martin who @Marvin49 claims hasn’t been trotted out bc he doesn’t know how to play special teams. I’m sorry, what? Why?

They should just trade out of this round from now on

The team that drafted Joe Montana, John Taylor, Romanowski, Terrell Owens, Frank Gore, and Fred Warner in the third round seems to have done pretty well not trading out of that round.

Not talking Bill Walsh hires or any hires pre 2017. I’m talking Shan. Perhaps his biggest success outside Warner was CJ Beathard, who finished his rookie contract and returned the comp pick that turned into Brock Purdy.

All very good points. Still, losing McCaffrey would kill the teams chances greater than all the injuries combined as there’s no plan b except Robinson, who is no Jordan Mason or even Zach Charbonnet.

He has ran the ball just as effectively as CMC has this year, which was not that effective until last game due to pass blocking. The huge difference would be pass catching

As hard as the 9ers are riding CM's jock right now - I don't know how he makes it without some sort of injury. Seems like bro gets half the snaps.

Has he ever caught from a screen? Because that’s at least half of what McCaffrey does.

The 49ers followed the old Seahawks model. Rely on the same aging vets (who grow smaller in number), draft poorly over an extended time period, and watch the roster talent hollow out. To their credit, their coaching this year has elevated them to a 5-2 record, though. Their top-notched coaching keeps squeaking out wins as evidenced by their +7 point differential. This is an important year for them because it could all come to a head next year when McCaffrey turns 30 coming off a heavy workload season and if Saleh gets a HC job.
Ikr. Reminds me of 2018 when the aging LOB started getting injured and breaking up fighting and scraping just to hold a shred of wildcard relevance. The 69ers will take 3rd place guaranteed they won 4 games by like 5 points total and jack loaded the IR list in the process. They’re a poorly conditioned ball club and prove it on a yearly basis by way of IR. It’s kind of funny but sad if you’re a fan. Lmao

You really should flag ai takes when posting them. Ai is growing from annoying to scary quite rapidly.

Poor Tards have the second hardest remaining schedule.

49ers do not actually run a lot of screens. Most of his catches are routes out of the back field. But yeah Robinson is not going to be doing that. In fact there are not many backs that could step into that role. Maybe Alvin Kamara? CMC is one of the best pass catching RBs of all time.
