Texans take their frustrations out on JSN

I'd love to see a rule that if a player injures another player while committing a personal foul, the perpetrator should be suspended for as long as the injury keeps the player out of the lineup. Seems harsh but sometimes you need harsh to actually change behavior.

I hate cheap players they're basically out there committing assault without law punishment.. I remember when Trent Cole slung Russell Okung over this shoulder and tore Okung's pec muscle just because Okung was owning him...

He almost headbutted JSN in the push, and if players safety is truly the nfl's biggest concern then an ejection is necessary to show this won't be tolerated.. I mean he came flying in and if his helmet would've collided with JSNs head we're talking about a concussion and possibly a severe cut to his face/head, and JSN missing games...

You can't eject a player for something they 'almost do'. We'll see what the league come up with. My guess is it'll be a fine for both JSN and Harris with nothing for Stingley. Just a guess.

Prevention is the best policy in my opinion, but I guess we different on this...

Apparently if JSN had reacted and got flagged he would have been ejected for his second flag.

That rule should be reviewed. Stiff arm is fine but you shouldn't be able to rip a guys helmet off. Thought NFL was concerned about player safety?

Been saying this for years. Including if the injury ends a players career, the player causing the injury is done in the nfl as well.

I thought of that as well. But I was thinking "what if a team sent out a 3rd stringer to confront a star player , baited star player into a confrontation and then played like he was injured for 6 weeks?"

Not that anyone wants to hear this - but a ball-carrier is allowed to stiff-arm a potential tackler to the face-mask. JSN retaliates with a 2-handed shove to the back after he has gone out-of-bounds, then entirely through the white sideline area, and then another 6+ feet the other side of it. In his defense he couldn't see exactly where he was but you can't do that and JSN should expect a fine on Wednesday. This doesn't excuse Harris for responding to JSN's attempt to push Stingley into the bench. There should have been offsetting fouls for JSN and Harris.

You are half correct. I agree JSN pushed him out of bounds. But Sting grabbed the face mask. That’s not legal. Open hand pressure is legal. Offsetting on JSN and Sting, 15 on Harris.
