The D-line's performance certainly seems to have scaled with D-Law's presence over the last few games. I was not expecting him to be so impactful.I think D Law had a lot to do with the success of the D line today. He adds a special spice to the D.
This right here.Stats don't tell the whole story, especially in line play.
Yes, for the first defensive player picked the expectations were high and he was not the best player
I agree with @Rat . Murphy had a good game today. It doesn't mean he's a superstar. He's still a work in progress. I hope he keeps getting better.
I don't see why a good game by one player turns into "I was right and you were wrong."
He would have whined no matter what I said. It's what he does. He's a laugh react warrior who stalks my posts and it gets annoying. I don't even know what the hell "apology" he's talking about, but whatever. I told myself I wouldn't engage him anymore, so that's a failure on my part.
Like I said, Murphy was fantastic today. The entire DL feasted; it was great. He has been inconsistent this season IMO, but that's not unusual for a young player either. If he keeps this up, I'm more than happy to admit I judged him too harshly too quickly. I have admitted being wrong about a number of players over the years, both from liking them too much, and from not liking them enough. I called AJ Barner a stupid pick last season, and am happy eating that crow. He's a beast, and the front office deserves enormous credit for seeing something beyond what he showed in college.
Expecting anyone to jump from one extreme to the other after one game is unreasonable. Murphy took a huge leap today in proving me wrong. If you need more than that, I don't know what to tell you.
No , I am debating he had a great season like some of you claimed. He didn’t. He was OK not great. You have nothing to show except he was double team and his position doesn’t show up in statsDoubling (tripling?) down?
A simple "I am happy to be wrong" would suffice
His position isn't predicated by stats, although he's certainly adding that element this year
His play as a rookie, constantly being double teamed told us all we needed to know about how he was seen across the league
We know.....you wanted a different pick there. Clearly.
No one claimed he was having a great season year one. What was being claimed and said was that he was a bust because he wasn't getting sacks, stats, etc.No , I am debating he had a great season like some of you claimed. He didn’t. He was OK not great. Now he is playing great and his stats show
IN Canton!Nope he is a bust.
This, the fact that the Seahawks got 7 sacks on Lawrence while no other team was able to do that, should turn on the OHHH, 'Now I Understand what Mac-D is doing with this defense.Mac's defenses may be known for exotic looks on the backend with multiples of DB's but he knows you need horses in the trenches. This is where there is major payoff for the backend to cause confusion and do their work.

I am one of the few who believes the same will happen with Milroe. You have to give these guys the chance to become who they can be.Yep
He’s a bust, waste of a draft pick
Diet CrowTypical. Fake Crow. As usual
If you focus too much on Murphy, Big cat will tear you apart. My favorite line: I blame fantasy football.
Yes, expectations were too high for Murph in his rookie year. I for one, never really worried because I don't expect a lot from rookies, especially linemen. Very few rookies do that well, but the signs were there. He had a few great and almost great plays along the way, indicating that with some experience and coaching he could develop into something pretty good, if not great.
Even now, it has only been 6 games into his 2nd season. Teams will now try to focus and isolate him, so the next stage starts now. How does he do when other teams start to focus on taking him out of games by scheming around him. He's doing well, we'll see how far he can go and how much he can achieve. It certainly helps that he is in a position group with pretty good depth.
