Mention what? If you mean about Cal, it was only on screen for a few seconds. Didn't hear any commentary and he finished the game. IDK, maybe he just spilled gatorade on his jersey or something. ;)
a moment but it was pretty obvious.

I'll take it. Kirby struggles through 4, but kept the score reasonable. Bullpen good, Munoz a little sketchy but good enough to save it.

Bats slow to start, but 5 runs is generally enough with our pitching.

1 game back of Houston. Just keep grinding away. It's a favorable schedule for the most part, just do your jobs and keep it clean. Some great defensive plays tonight. Gotta love it.

I weed them to go 11-6 in the last 17 games. They can do it!

Other than Kirby it was a great ball around effort. Bullpen has really picked it up the last few games.

Going to be a fun last few weeks of the season.

I'm with the poster above, 11-6 should get it done, imo. 10-7....maybe.
Going to the game tonight. Funny, because a week ago it didn't feel like it was going to be that important. Now it's huge.

This team is streaky AF. They go from looking tired and like they barely care..........to back to being locked in. They make no sense.

But here we are. 17 games left, 1 game out of first, Texas right on our tails. Scoreboard watching is going to be very fun these next 3 weeks.
More importantly, we gotta' take care of our own business.
Logan on the bump tonight, I like our chances, a lot.

Dare I say, "It's baseball." The entire game is about streaks, how you weather the bad streaks, and how you ride the good times. They've had two years of dying at the end. Perhaps they've learned how to avoid that this year. 🙏

Would be quite the pleasant surprise. When a team makes the playoffs 5 times in their history, and misses by a game or two several times, etc. It's easy to be very cautious. But these next 3 weeks are going to be a blast.
I wouldn't be going tonight if I didn't believe they can do this. I expect a solid crowd for a Wed. night.
Did I believe they could do it a week ago? Absolutely not :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Just watching to see what happens. The same Mariners who took 5 of 6 from the Padres this season could also lose 3 of 4 to the Angels this weekend. I'd be less concerned about our post-season chances if it weren't for the Rangers committing unorthodox acts of winning.

But they could also get the sweep tonight and win 3 of 4 from the Angels.

I'll actually be surprised if they don't take 3 of 4 from the Angels. One week ago, I wouldn't have said that.

Texas has the Brewers tonight, damn good team.
Houston at Toronto today and tomorrow, damn good team.

Things can look very different by Friday night.

As Whitey Herzog said, "Baseball is a funny game, you can do everything right and still lose, but you can do everything wrong and win."

The next three weeks? To quote Bette Davis: "Fasten your seatbelts. It's going to be a bumpy ride."
