Long pass happened right in front of me. He STOPPED. He keeps running, he easily knocks that down. Or even gets a pick.
Thats exactly what it looked like from the TV. He just stopped running.

Does anyone remember when haha Clinton dix was guarding luke willson in the NFCCG in 2014 on a two point conversion we desperately needed and when the ball was in the air he was completely paralyzed like a cobra swaying to a snake charmer?

That’s the vibe i get with woolen if he has to make any adjustments to a ball in the air.

Yeah he’s ok if he gets the initial read, but oh my lawdy he’s hot garbage in most other circumstances.

I’m making a thread to shout from my rooftop that Riq Woolen is hot garbage and should be cut immediately.

That is all.
SELFISHNESS, DIDN'T PLAY AS A TEAM, PATHETIC OFFENSE AND PLAY CALLER....(((SAD PERFORMANCE)))

HaHa (laughing as I type his name) was extremely similar to Riq as far as career arcs go. He was a stud his rookie year according to Packer fans than just faded as his career went on and ended up a JAG.

You can’t coach instinct and toughness. Riq Woolen doesn’t have either. He’s soft as charmin and is disengaged unless there’s a free Pick available. Decent cover corner, but not a long term answer. He’ll be forgotten about in the league in 2-3 years time after Seattle lets him walk at the end of the year.

It's going to be hard for MM to justify his starting spot, especially when someone like Jobe can come in out of no where and look like a solid DB in his system. He has an unheard of athletic profile coupled with a lazy attitude and a complete lack of physicality. MM watching film this week on that TD is going to give him an aneurysm, a gimme INT turns into a TD because of zero effort.

There is a clear reason the FO hasn't extended him yet and today was another example. They cannot justify a big pay day for a guy who takes plays off, especially at the end of games. I can think of multiple games where he got cooked to close it out, a #1 CB shouldn't give you those memories. If he makes a play on EITHER TERRIBLE PASS by Purdy, Seahawks are 1-0. Instead he gives up 3 catches, 70+ yards and a TD to close the game. Completely unacceptable for a guy going on year 4 who 1) wants a new contract and 2) apparently heard the noise about his poor play enough that he's talked about it.

Woolen made two bad reads on the final drive -- very true. Made me wonder if he might need glasses.

Prior to that drive (by my count) he gave up 1 catch and got 1 call for illegal hands. (Which was an oddly prevalent call today.)

I don't know why he seemed to forget how to play football on that last drive, but he is definitely not a bum/hot garbage.

What current player acquired in the last two years via free agency or the draft would you replace with a potential Woolen replacement?
Could have kept Michael Jackson or Artie burns even though he's injured.
