It was a effort play by Bosa who pushed Lucas back out of Darnolds line of site and into his arm as he was making his throw.

It sucks because I thought we would be able to pull it out.

Maybe not Darnold's fault. But definitely curse of the Seahawks fault. This is the Seahawk Way. Screw things up....give the fans some crazy last minute hope...amd then snatch it away in the end.

Darnold - 16/23 150 yards 0 TD.
He did his job, he also did his job on the last drive, he is not supposed to be a highlight reel in this offense, it's run oriented and was all day. Walker was disappointing, as the 2nd punch. We only took one deep shot really all day, that is concerning however.

Walker was underwhelming.

The whole offense looked out of sync. I think this is partly a symptom of having a single preseason drive with your new QB, new system, new head coach and new receivers. I know, have to avoid preseason injuries. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. They didn't look like they were on the same page. JSN is great....but we need other receivers to catch the ball too.

I guess we know the REAL issue - Bobo wasn't playing.

It’s pretty typical - lack of complimentary football - I swear the chiefs preseason game was the only time I saw a balanced team in years.

So more of the same product.

I agree it was not all on Darnold. There was really nothing he could do that last play when you're RT gets pushed on his as$ right into him as hes throwing.

It may not have been all Darnold, but his performance was not at all inspiring. After that game, do you have confidence in him leading a team into the playoffs after that game with Minnesota last year?

It’s early, so I’m not trying to be that guy. But he needs to look at other reads and stop forcing the ball to JSN because that shit ain’t gonna cut it.

Pocket awareness is part of the job.

I will say that Darnold was actually better than I expected today, and the overall results from the offense ended up being surprisingly close to what I was expecting.
I didn't think the defense was as good as most people here did ("top-five," etc.), but I was still a little disappointed in some of what I saw from the defense today.

No GeNOPE INTs, though.

BTW, 16/23 69.6% Completion percentage.

almost 70%.

But somebody said it best : We only took one deep shot all game (at least as far as I recall). That's not going to win us many games if we don't take advantage of Sam's arm. Otherwise, why sign him at all and just roll with Drew Lock or some other bum off the street?

Walker was a complete and total embarrassment.

10 carries for 20 yards? Darnold had 2 carries for 14.

Yeah.

Good lord man...

Geno might've thrown an interception this game but he wouldn't tunnel vision only on JSN. He would spread the ball around and get more yards than that.
Sure.

He would've spread the ball around so that more than one DB gets to pad his stats for the opposing team. 😳
