It's hard to have pocket awareness on a play that's happening behind you. If you look at the film, both Bosa and Lucas were behind him, which is why when he reached back to throw the ball, it was dislodged. Nothing he could've done there, just a great play by Bosa.
Come on Hawker, giving credit for a great play by the opponent? That's not the jam on dot blame everyone.

I don't know, Aaron Donald was an all-time great.
I don't get these fans that PURPOSELY spell DARNOLD's name incorrectly.

Are they trying to be edgy or do they not know how to friggin' spell? I don't get it.

I watched last night's Vikings-Bears game with interest, hoping that Sam would be vindicated by a poor showing from JJ McCarthy. The logic is that if McCarthy does well, then it was McConnell's system that was responsible for last year's success, not Darnold. I was hoping that McCarthy fell flat on his face, proving that not anyone could run McConnell's offense.

For the first three quarters, McCarthy was terrible, and it was looking as if the Vikings were going to regret letting Darnold and Jones go. But McCarthy did redeem himself somewhat in the last quarter, and made a few decent throws.

I think the jury is still out, but I don't think McCarthy is going to go 14-3 this season.

We were one play short of winning the game
That's not saying much when the opposition only scored 17.

That said, I respected a 70% comp rate with Geno and will do so again with Darnold. JSN's fumble and the timid playcalling were critical in securing the 49ers' TOP advantage.

Darnold did fine. Got the ball out quick and no picks. The OC just forgot everything he ever learned about football on that particular day.

O'Connell made a late adjustment to his play calling. Otherwise McCarthy wasnt doing mech. Kubiak did aswell however the difference was Kubiak did it when he absolutely had to because the hawks gave up the td late in the game. So he was forced. If he had did that in the beginning of the 4th picture would have been different.

Please refrain from comparing O'Connell to Kubiak.
