As far as I'm concerned there's really only 2 things that remain to be seen regarding the Mariners 2025 season.

1. How many games do they miss the playoffs by this time?

2. How many HR's does Cal end up with?

Oh well. Same old Mariners. No reason to ever expect any different.

Another close but no cigar game. Got some situational hitting, but too many misses with RISP. Looks like they're all trying too hard.

Damn, the Rays have some great bat to ball skills. I wish we could do that. We rely too much on the long ball.

Cal leaves 5 guys on base his last 2 at bats. MVP players don't do that. He also batted .179 in the month of August.

I'm not giving him a pass. He's my favorite player. Where is the clutch???? Left the bases loaded when it was 4-4. Leaves 2 more on to the end the game.

He just doesn’t feel like an MVP the last month or two. Outside of the HR’s he’s been underwhelming.

I think the best hope is Hancock can contribute to the bullpen and at some point Santos should be back with us.

You know, I just have to add that I don't think I've ever seen a manager put up a more meek or feeble "fight" in response to getting ejected. It's like he's afraid of confrontation or afraid of upsetting the ump or something.

And I think this team very much resembles their manager. Meek and feeble.

Ferguson just isn’t very good. Advanced stats showed that his numbers were probably better than who he is.

Minus WAR guy since we got him and ERA that’s probably going to jump above 5 assuming one of these runs come in.

The bats he got at the deadline were great, but he’s cheap. I would have traded away high end prospects to get a high leverage bullpen arm.

Ferguson is just a decent lefty, not leverage
