When will that happen if its gonna?
I do not know. I've been tracking this possibility for a couple weeks or so and heard he was going to make a few visits, including Seattle. That is the last I have heard about it. But now that I look at the lack of depth it makes me wonder if there is something going on behind the curtain.

Answer:
In the NFL, the timing of signing a veteran is crucial due to the "vested veteran" rule, which guarantees a player's full base salary for the season if they are on a team's roster for Week 1. To avoid this financial obligation, teams often wait to sign veterans until after the first regular season game.

Bet he is hoping for a starting role, but will take our offer if that doesn’t happen

Deep down, Risner knows the Seahawks do not need another guard. Our two Schneiders are doing Risner a favor by allowing him to mention Hawks as a suitor for leverage.

Risner also played with Darnold last season so if he does decide to come here, he's got familiarity.

From what I've seen of him, he's solid in Pass Protection but.....not so much in the Running game.

Cole Strange got released. He could be an option. Not sure what is up with him though. Belichick drafted him in the 1st to everybody's surprise a couple years ago and he started that first year and then kind of fell off. I know he had some injuries.

Our right guard position got completely ran over last year. A couple of plays against back ups in the pre season isn't enough to start handing out Pro Bowl invites.

Compare his run blocking grades to the guards we had last year and tell us how that pans out. I don't see him as another Zabel but other than that he looks like an upgrade.

Risner protects his teammates, on and off the field:

Dalton Risner has spoken highly of his time playing with Russell Wilson on the Denver Broncos, calling Wilson "one of my favorite teammates" and refuting rumors that Wilson had lost the Broncos' locker room. The former Broncos guard expressed respect for Wilson's work ethic and leadership during their time together from 2022 to 2023.

Dalton Risner's Stance
  • Favorable Teammate:
Risner has consistently praised Russell Wilson, highlighting him as a favorite teammate he's ever had.

  • Debunking Rumors:
Risner directly addressed and dismissed rumors that Wilson was a poor teammate or had "lost the locker room" during their time with the Broncos, calling them "outlandish".

  • Respect for Wilson:
He expressed significant respect for Wilson's dedication, attitude, and leadership on and off the field.

  • Real-Life Experience:
Risner emphasized that his perspective came from observing Wilson's actions and character daily, contrasting it with the negative reports he saw circulating.

He was never that good to begin with. He's always been a project and got drafted way sooner than anyone anticipated

However, our John Schneider has already addressed the OL problems we had in the past 2-3 years by getting rid of DK, Geno, and Lockett.

So much for his determination to take multiple visits. Signs with notoriously skimpy paying Bengals. Must be something in the water he's drinking!
Yeah, it’s called a guaranteed paycheck. So if you are out of work and have a decent offer on the table from a company, you are saying you would tell them no and hope that another company hires you?
