The short answer is yes. Trade him.

At this point, we seem to be pretty well set at RB. IMO Charbs looks to be a better fit for what we want to do with this offense.

Walker's a free agent next year, so if he's not going to figure into our long-term plans, the smart move would be to trade him if we have a viable offer. But given his injury history, I doubt that anyone is going to offer up more than a mid round draft pick.

Not sure where I read/saw it, but I believe the typical NFL RB misses 3-5 games per season with various injuries. Expecting them to go 17 every year is unrealistic. Having two top runners is a good idea. Having 3 is a luxury.

K9, Charbs, and Holani sounds like a pretty good stable to me.

I like having 4,5,6, I mean how many stud backs do we have sheesh it’s an embarrassment of riches

I'm just fine with rolling with Walker this year. If he does great this year, good for us. If we lose him to FAcy after the season, we'll get some kind of a comp pick for him, no? If he has a so-so year, we'll just deal with the situation next off-season, whatever it might be. Sure, it would be a consideration to trade him if the right offer came along. But would we get more than a third round pick for him at best?

Fair enough. But I believe this debate will be settled soon when Walker gets his chance behind this improved OL & Ouzts. I don't think it's fair to judge him against the previous 3 years of OL & play calling. Sharing the spotlight with Charbs will dim both of their stats respectively but +1 team. Don't take any of Kubiaks toys away, including a highly decorated RB whose best days are in front of him.

Fair enough. But I believe this debate will be settled soon when Walker gets his chance behind this improved OL & Ouzts. I don't think it's fair to judge him against the previous 3 years of OL & play calling. Sharing the spotlight with Charbs will dim both of their stats respectively but +1 team. Don't take any of Kubiaks toys away, including a highly decorated RB whose best days are in front of him.

I would caution my fellow 12's about getting too optimistic during the preseason. The main objective for teams isn't to win the game, it's player evaluation. I'll never forget going 4-0 in the 2009 preseason only to finish 5-9.

id bolden the OL but.. it wasnt great last yr.. however my biggest knocks realistically when talking with friends and family about walker is what the consensus seems to be, availability, and vision.... we've seen him DANCE around a lot, when he should've followed his blocker. We've seen him hesitate and dance for losses (not all on him but there a definitively some). Put him to the side and wide, he does fine line him up behind the qb he's dancing around or going opposite of his blocker, seeking contact. IMO he needs to take whats given to him and NOT seek contact. Someone mentioned have charbs grind down the defenses and then have walker cut them up, I wouldn't be surprised at all if that's the route they might take.

Ride him like a rented mule this year and see what he can do when he’s not getting hit in the backfield.

Let another team sign him to a huge contract in the off-season, pick up a comp. pick and fold a healthy McIntosh into the mix.

K9 being held out for a foot injury before camp even started
is what gets to me, I'm just burned out on all the injury prone
RBs we've had and they all had talent including not being able
to stay healthy.
I will take a less talented back that's able to produce and stay on
field, rather than hope a flashy one makes it to the next game.
The Pete era is over and I'm liking changes of getting away from it,
like not keeping oft injured players who are not producing.
I understand some do not see it like I do; It's just my one cent is all.
