My work is easy today. Sherman Smith was the first to wear 47. 1976 2nd round pick of the Seahawks.

Rolly Woolsey was the first Seahawk to wear #45. A 1975 6th round pick of the Cowboys. Interesting that only four Seahawks have worn number 45!

First to wear 44 for the Seahawks, Ralph Nelson. He played for the Seahawks as a RB in 1976. He was with the redskins in 1975. He did not play college football. Some of these early players are difficult to find images of. Especially action shots. I love this one.

Did Ralph Nelson, not play at College. As his route into the NFL, was via a league that went out of business?

First to wear 43, RB Jim Jodat. 1976 12th round pick of the Rams out of Carthage College. Was a Seahawk in 1980-1981. Sadly died of cancer in 2015.
