Over/under set at 7.5 runs today…think I’ll take the over. The M’s are due to break out on offense like they do every 5th or 6th game lol

Woo is gonna get ten K’s and go 7 with zero runs and cal is gonna drop another dumper in the upper deck
Cal is probably going to be the majority of the offense. The M's finally jumped out to a lead at home for once.

Good solid game overall.

Woo goes 6, of course. Was doubting a bit in the 4th, but he pulled through.

A Dylan Moore sighting. :)

Arozarena with another long ball. Julio continues to struggle. Maybe he needs to sit out some games.

I got home in the 7th and missed Cal's fireworks apparently. Watched the post game for highlights. That first homer almost left the stadium. Unreal. I said he need time off via days off and/or more DH days. It looks like that is what he is finally getting. Love Cal!

With that HR this afternoon, maybe D-Mo will finally start clickin' now. Would be a nice accompaniment to Cal, Polonco, Solano, and Arozarena. And a resurgence by JP would be nice too.

It would be nice if they all got hot at the same time and put together a good winning streak.

If that how it worked.. our team would be lighting it up... but a random stroke when the pitcher is laying them all in the zone doesn't really help

They need to move Julio down in the order and get some pressure off him.
If he was hitting better 5 or 6 spot would be ideal... then you wont want to walk Cal etc... but... alas Polanco still gets those hits, Raley still does.. who do you sacrifice to the lambs just for Julio to "get it" lower in the order? Its really not pressure half of the time is an issue

Not sure what more you want from JP? He's been one of the best leadoff hitters in baseball this year. He's hitting .284 with a .385 OBP and .762 OPS on the season, and he just hit a hair over .300 for the month of June. He's got the 7th highest OBP in baseball. JP has been really good all season. Only guy that's been better is Cal, and Cal is a legit MVP candidate.

Right? JP is doing JUST fine...... exactly what you want from a lead off SS

He may have only a few years until his replacement can prove themselves after AA but.. damn .... people are fickle on the players ACTUALLY PRODUCING

I heard them talking about that but I don't remember them showing replays of it. Thanks for the vid.

JP is a wily veteran, but the runner was stupid to not watch where the ball actually went. 🤷‍♂️

hey really need to add a bat or two. I’d love O’hearn and Naylor. That would really extend this lineup to take pressure off Julio and make it so the pitcher still has to pitch to Cal.

JP should be an all star

Unfortunately, it's pretty crowded at SS. Jacob Wilson, Jeremy Pena, and Bobby Witt Jr are all having even better seasons than JP, and that's just in the AL.

To me, his play this year is all star level, or extremely close to it, but again, it's just too crowded with really good players at the SS position for JP to actually make it.
