The Bears invested big money to fix their OL, will Caleb William finally plays like a first overall pick? Screenshot 2025 05 14 13 23 38 87 40deb401b9ffe8e1df2f1cc5ba480b12

There are a ton of interesting developing stories out there -

Caleb will be a little better this year - I think. Not great or even good - but maybe edging up into serviceable for a .500 team.

I am very curious to see how the Vikings do with their current plan of putting every single egg they have in the JJ McCarthy basket....him never having taken an actual NFL snap. I guessing we get to se Sam Howell at some point.

The Pittsburgh QB room is a hot mess - starring Mason Rudolph, Skylar Thompson and the Ohio state rookie. Ouch.

Everyone on here thinks we're going to become the 90s Cowboys OL because we paired an FCS rookie with a coordinator on his fifth team in the past five years, so logically, Williams should have time to paint his nails back there.

Everyone? You love to equate a little bit of positivity to us acting like we have a HOF O Line. 🍺 ✌️

Our o line will be improved, with a lot of work to do.

Some critics identified both the Bears and the Hawks to have OL issues. These two teams diagnosed their OL, and came up with different results.

The Hawks identified poor QB plays with Geno Smith as the cause, therefore we traded away Geno . We didn't sign any IOL free agency period.

The Bears went the opposite route, invested heavily in free agents to improve their line.

Symptoms maybe similar but root causes and treatments were opposite?

But Celab is a generational talent.

Williams, Geno and Darnold were all top five in sacks last season. Going to be interesting to see if any of that changes. Williams better hope his sacks drop considerably, he had 18 more than Geno even.

Pittsburg will revert to historical form. Pound the ball, play tough D, and hope the QB situation is better, or next year they get another good draft pick......... or they sign a QB. I hear there is a Manning that could come out of retirement... or maybe ???????

In one year, the Broncos went from giving up 52 sacks to 24 sacks, and all they did was replace Russell Wilson with a rookie, and promoted their fifth round pick from a few years earlier to starting center after losing their previous center in free agency.

I think Caleb will be very, very good this coming season.

The offense and the pieces all look like it makes sense in terms of what they are trying to do; whereas last season with Waldron as the OC none of it really made sense from one snap to the next.

According to this article, Williams actually pondered playing for the UFL over playing for the Bears. 🤯

No chance do I think that would've actually ended up happening, he would've found a way to pull an Eli move and play for some other NFL team, but wow, what an endorsement. And apparently he wasn't Waldron's biggest fan, either.

This would not surprise me considering some of the rumors we heard about him prior to the 2024 draft.

Neither, the Bears play on land.

I think Caleb will progress. They may push for the playoffs, especially since they have a last place schedule which makes it a little softer landing.
