I like him even less after this too.
Is that possible? probably is, since you said so.I like him even less after this too.
Well now give me some credit I just responded to your Geno post saying all kinds of nice things about him lol
He will still manage to throw picks in the red zone and lead the league in checkdown passes. Elite ball skills with awful decision making.Got tired of getting hammered playing behind our crappy offense line
Condotta is getting fed the angle Seahawks brass wants out there PR-wise. I find it odd that the amount they reportedly offered Geno keeps increasing and is now up to the range he reportedly wanted.
Geno wouldn't have been asking for an extension all this time if he just wanted out. That said, it wouldn't surprise me if he gave up after the last offer and did want out - but I don't think the last offer was actually a cut-and-dry good extension with any security.

Getting an extension that wouldn't even put him in top 12 QB average yearly salary at time of signing doesn't really seem like an overvaluation to me, particularly given that the indications are that the Raiders do want to pay it. Not even comparable to the outrageous DK overpay. When Geno didn't even attend the awards ceremony for comeback player of the year, I kind of had a suspicion he was a me first player. The fact he didn't accept an offer in the range of 40 to 45m??? I'm glad he went to the desert lol. I agree with dk wanting 30m a year was nonsense, why the hell could anyone not agree geno overvalued himself? Look at that, he just three another ball that was almost picked off lol

That's just not a statement thats in line with the reality of NFL QB contracts. You could've said that 3 years ago. 35 million is barely a top 20 contract.Geno at top is worth 35m, would have been a HUGE overpay man

Geno was paid the 19th most among QBs in average yearly value on his contract here. Putting him at 35 million would have jumped him up to... 18th. (Per OTC)
Value is determined by comparison to peers, and that number of 35 may sound like a significant one to you but the truth is that it simply is not a realistic number in 2025 for ANY quarterback worthy of extension.
The argument is simple - literally just look at every other quarterback extension to determine what quarterbacks are usually paid. You can absolutely be of the opinion that you would prefer not to pay it, but value is determined by market and comparison to contracts at the same position. And that's about where he was lol. I don't understand the argument on geno deserved over 40m? He found a team who might pay him that, im happy for him
