guess who threw for more TD's last year than Geno? With less talent around him. Also rushed for 5 Td's.

I am glad that Howell is sitting and learning for the most part, because by next season I think he will be that much better.

Sam Howell was legitimately terrible last year. Geno had one fewer TD passes on 113 fewer passing attempts and less than half the interceptions. Commanders going 11-5 this year after 4-13 didn't get that much better.

Geno also has similar INT% as Baker, Jordan Love, Trevor Lawrence, Sam Darnold, Brock Purdy -- with a lower rate than Cousins and Maye.

So same as Russ...
Really? He got more excuses for why he WON than anything. It was uncanny. Nothing he ever accomplished was actually him. The main reason I retired from Russ talk, it was like clapping with one hand. Now, I just enjoy reading the hurt. Though, it does seem to have calmed down a bit. It still was 2 plus years of pure entertainment :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Oh cmon..there was more than a fair share of excuses for when Russ messed up too especially in the later years. He doesn't even play here anymore and some are still excusing his bad play since he left blaming coaching..olines..lack of weapons to throw to. What I am getting at it doesn't matter who is at qb there'll always be those that defend or blame....

Why are you bringing up Russ in a Howell vs Geno debate? We can debate who makes more mistakes between Russ and Geno in another thread.

Howell having better stats last year as a rookie than Geno this year is sort of funny though considering everything that is set about the two.

They're going to start Geno because winning 10 games in a rookie coaches first year is pretty cool and sets a standard moving forward so my vote is to start Geno as they probably already know whether or not they like Howell.

Pointing out how just like Geno fans made excuses for the bad play of Russ as well when he was here. So just adding it wasn't something new to the pro Geno crowd. Back to regular scheduled broadcasting...Geno sucks...start Howell...

Meh, old news, old arguments. Doesn't matter. We all see it how we see it. Russ was great in his prime. Geno has never been close to great.

Defend or blame, both guys, you make a good point. And it's not a contest. Russ was an all-time great, and borderline HOF, goMEH is a never was.

Well to be fair Russ never made as many mistakes as Geno has been making this year but its a valid point. It will probably happen with the next guy too.

I don't want Howell to start and I want them to win 10 games because it does mean something.

Maybe he will play a great game and add to his trade value. We traded for him… or is it like used cars, as soon as you get it it loses half its value
Used cars seem to be the ticket these days - ask the brand new teslas I see always getting serviced on the roadside

What does it mean? Lower draft pick?

I get your point I just think for a first year coach to win 10 games is kind of cool and for potential FA's maybe it helps bring guys here? It's a moral victory for sure but feels like its just another thing to stack that shows we're heading in the right direction next year.

Ask a winner like Dan Campbell what it means to crush the 49ers in a meaningless game.
( a team that knocked them out of last year's playoffs)

You may get a glimpse of what winning culture means, as opposed to armchair, board-game fantasy-think.
