Tyler Lockett is an easy one. Seriously think Geno could go too but not sure what the plan would be at qb. Cannot go Howell unless they are trying for a 0 win season...

Lockett, Geno and Jones I would guess are the most likely but the way money can be moved around its tough to say. I don't think you can live with DK's 31 million cap hit but maybe they have to.

Why does Howell = going for zero wins?

If you did that (not saying you should, but I’m for not having geno come back. Also how many teams had given up on a geno or darnold or mayfield when they were supposedly washed), you could spend more money on the trenches, focus on moving the ball with the run. Improve the defense more, I’m sure you’d be pretty competitive in most games still and not end up with 0 wins. He did win games before. With probably less talent around him in Washington.

I’ve wanted DK gone for awhile (should be in previous posts). He is talented but makes too much. I believe you can find somebody who underperforms him by a bit, but will save you a whole ton of money (same argument I gave on keeping lock instead of geno)

Howell last year had a year similar to what Geno is having this year. He actually threw for more touchdowns. I'm not ready to say he's trash based on one terrible half of football coming in during relief work. Again I'm not saying he's the answer but I just don't think we know yet what he is.

I would like to see the top 4 gone. DK should have some level of trade value. Outside chance we could get something for Geno. That clears up something like 64 million in cap giving the team around 58 million to work with assuming there is no increase (which is a poor assumption so there should be more to work with).

Moving on from Geno, DK and Lockett is another necessary step in moving on from Pete

Maybe Noah Fant. He’s got a $13,500,000 cap hit next year with $4,500,000 dead cap hit. That’s a plus $9 million if you cut him. Barners done well and they could probably find another tight end that is serviceable for half the amount of the space they save.

I contemplated this as well, but don’t see it as likely since it is a contract signed on Macdonald catch.

I get it, but see our two new starting linebackers at the start of this year

But he is value. I don’t think you can do any better value wise.
Getting rid of my wife's Subaru in favor of a clapped-out Chevy Cavalier is not value. Doesn't matter how cheap it is, if it barely runs it isn't worth it. Same with Howell. We say Howell = 0 wins because we've seen him in action.

I think there are a few teams that would want DK if that were the case. They'd be very thin at wr. Bobo isn't anything more than depth guy.

I assume you mean before the 2025 season? Definitely Lockett (needs to go but hurts), I say trade DK. To much money next year and not really producing the way he should for his supposed level. Noah Fans - like the guy but not sure why we invest much in tight ends when we don’t use them very much. Pharaoh Brown - not really a cap saver but would rather have the roster spot for someone else. Keep Woolen to let him ride his rookie contract out. For the price he is good. Don't think he has much of a competitive spirit to be elite (has physical skills for sure though). After contract expires get a comp pick maybe? Not gonna touch the Geno sedate on this. To hot for me.
