Russ pretty much lives and dies by 50/50 throws. If Pittsburgh can minimize their reliance on him, he'll look good.

I wished all bad things on him that first year in Denver.

Now, I don’t really think I about this dude too much.

But…it does look like he’s playing well after shaking the rust off.

He played a great game whether people want to admit it or not. He hasn’t been as bad as people think since leaving Seattle but I’m not going to debate it.

Anyway he had a fantastic first game back. Hope he keeps it up.

Strikes me as not a great sign that Denver willingly took an $85 million cap hit over the next two years and is paying him $38 million this year to play for a different team.

Terrible signing but he had a decent year. I think Payton wanted his guy and it’s not working out real well so far. Wilson was light years better than Nix has been

I’ll add I think Payton will sink that franchise with his arrogance and insistence on doing it his way. I bet Russ and Pitts have a great year

Russ wanted Payton, but Payton didn't want Russ.

I like many of you, took joy in watching Russ struggle after the way he left. But watching him tonight, and after everything he's been through, I couldn't help but feel happy for the guy.
Ask kease and maelstrom how they really feel.

The post-Wilson Broncos are averaging the same PPG and 12 fewer yards with Bo Nix while paying Wilson 39M not to play for them. Are we sure Payton was wrong? Nix is a trainwreck in the pocket, and there doesn't appear to be much dropoff in overall production.

I want Wilson to do well. Only time I didn't was when we had Denver's picks and I wanted them to tank. Say what you like about him, especially on the later years but without him we probably don't win a super bowl. I get the LOB, Marshawn etc but he did his part too in that run
