Still gotta' lace em up. After the Hawks win tonight (yes, I believe they have a very good shot) I would like to think people won't downplay it.......
The Niners are reeling a bit from some injuries and some subpar play. The game is in our house and I'd like to think after last weeks embarrassing performance they're looking to get back on track with renewed energy. The win should put the Hawks back in the national conversation.

Would be nice to get things moving in the right direction as the schedule gets difficult.

In reality, we're likely to get so thoroughly massacred that people with certain affiliations are going to be accused of having engineered a machine designed to inflict targeted destruction towards the state of Washington. I'm thinking like 37-13 Niners.

This is a toss up 50/50 game in my opinion. This game will 100% be won or lost in the trenches on both sides of the ball. If it comes down to a close game that depends on a long clutch field goal then Moody being hurt for them could be a factor. I just want to see FIGHT from this team. Play fast, tackle well, limit explosives, and get some TO's. We looked slow and soft last week against NY and if we come out that way tonight it will be ugly. If they channel the embarrassment of last week and come out with their hair on fire then I could see us really doing something great. It's on them to respond to last week, play sharp, and for every member of the team and staff to put all the lessons learned the last two weeks to use and play up to their potential. Mafe and Hall and hopefully Love being on the field is key.

Thing is, we have lost 2 straight, but unlike years past, the reason for our failures have been identified and it seems the fix is being inplemented. Thats a refreshing shift from 'i dont know - we will have to figure it out here soon'. The HC and OC have been straight about what needs to be done and hopefully are going about doing it.

Last week, we beat ourselves. The week before, you could argue the same. Our record shows 2 losses but we have yet to be BEATEN by another team. The game tonight is well within our power to win. We just have to play solid ball.

Not to argue, but they were beaten by the Giants. The Giants dominated and pushed the Hawks around the entire game, on BOTH sides of the trenches. That score didn't show how bad the Hawks played and got dominated, imo.
If it wasn't for a lucky bounce in the end zone that ended up being a 100 plus yard TD for the Hawks, that's likely a borderline blowout.

They lost because they looked past an opponent and played unsound ball. We are better than the Giants without a doubt.

We didng lose because we were beaten by a better opponent, did ehat we were supposed to and just came up short. We beat ourselves.

Mike just needs to get these guys on the same page.

Will that happen this week? No clue. But there isnt a game on the schedule that i circle as a 'for sure' loss.

We havent even hit our stride yet.

We are better, but on Sunday, the Giants were MUCH better. Period.
And I never said the Giants were a better team than the Seahawks. But they absolutely WERE the better team on Sunday. Excuses won't change facts.
Also, no such thing as a for sure loss. This team will get better, it's just gonna' take some time. Exactly what we expected.

The Hawks just have to be the better team TONIGHT.
The Niners lost at HOME to the Cards. Obviously, the Cards are not a better team than the Niners. But........they were that day.

Yes.

To think otherwise is goofy (IMO), Seattle leads the Division. This season has been no holds barred across the league, every game seems up for grabs right now.

I think both fan bases feel the same way. 50:50 toss up. I have no idea and not a tonne of confidence
So odd.

These teams were absolute juggernauts not too long ago, now fans seem to be coin tossing who will suck more.

We had two bad games and lots of injuries, they have injuries too and just suffered an unexpected loss.

This game can go either way, in cases like this one, the team wanted it more wins. How's the spirit in the locker room? Are our guys hungrier than theirs?

We shall see.

Is this a joke? The Giants, missing their best offensive player (by far) and their leading rusher, were able to do whatever they wanted on offense. Their much-maligned starting quarterback posted his best QB rating since New Year's Day of last year. Their 5th-round rookie RB, who had 12 carries for 29 yards on the season coming into the game, gashed us for 129 yards on 18 carries. Their defense dominated our offensive line, tallying seven sacks, and blowing up a key fourth-down play in our own territory late. They held possession for more than 37 minutes and consistently looked better coached.

There was no doubt who the better team on the field was. It was the one who travelled 2400 miles for the game.

No way. No freaking way. They might lose but I think the team will be much better overall than they showed against the Giants.
There you go Jinxing it again. Thanks Todd!! ;)
