As rcaido said above, Lynch has notoriety from his post-NFL career to make him a lot more likely. He's still front and center in movies, commercials and TNF. That added to the fact people like him, probably more now than during his career, makes his resume better than just the numbers. ...in my opinion.
It's obviously great that 8 Seahawks have been nominated. However, I read that something like 160+ players were nominated so it's not like any of them are statistically a "lock." For example, the Giants had 16 nominees. It seems like the nomination itself is viewed as a type of recognition for a good career and the overwhelming majority of those nominated are never going to sniff the Hall. So let's celebrate the nominations as such and expect that the large-market teams will see their players receive further accolades while Seahawks are unfairly ignored. Wouldn't it be expected that Marshawn Lynch gets the cold shoulder? I mean, if I were Roger Goodell, I'm pretty sure I'd do everything possible to keep Marshawn from having a chance to give a HOF speech that the entire world would see.
