Well that sucks, but on the other hand it could have been worse.

Winston will probably start more than Watson. Watson has started only 6 games each year that he’s been with the Browns.

Roughing was definitely ticky tack but the very next play he’s chopped and injured. Whether the injury was on purpose I’d like to doubt but I am not so sure about the blocking. He’s the type of guy that draws double teams.
I personally thought at the time and still think, it was because he was kicking his ass out there. Every play Nwosu was running right by him.

I guess that's the risk you take when you play starters in preseason. This is hardly a hill I'm prepared to die on, so if anyone has evidence to the contrary, Id like to hear it, but I'd be shocked if there's any real correlation between preseason play and starting the season well. Like if Geno had gone 2/6 rather than 4/5 last week, would we be any worse off for week 1? It's impossible to simulate anything comparable to regular season pressure. Preseason is really just for position battles and roster decisions; nothing Nwosu could have done in his limited preseason reps would have put his starting spot in jeopardy.

I'm sure coaches have their reasons. I'm guessing they just get excited to see their product and take an unnecessary risk. More likely, it's one of those things they do because that's how it has always been done.

Unfortunate, but glad it's not worse. I'd rank him as our third most-important defensive player after Leonard Williams and Spoon. Hopefully it isn't something that lingers through the season.

Who was he running by? The RG? Nwosu was the right OLB, so he is normally going against a LT. It was a RG pulling to block that went after his legs.

Agree with others...It totally blows, but could have been worse.

Even though it sucks and agree with alot of you guys about this situation. It could have been worse. I was afraid the news was gonna say out for the year.

It wasn’t a dirty play. It was a completely legal chop block up until the running back decided to hit him high. Ray Roberts did a whole piece on this.

My guess is he comes back with fresh legs for the whiners at home, Thursday night, 10/10. Sucks.

You have to be a current player to understand the current rules? Roberts played more recently than any of us.

I like that, #10 comes back to play on 10/10 and gets 10 tackles for loss with 1.0 sack in the last 2 minutes of the game to stop the niners from scoring a game winning touchdown.

Works for me

Then the Seahawks become the new bullies on the block!

Yes it sucks. Yes it could have been worse. Yes it was dirty.

NEXT MAN UP!

Let's hold the fort down until he gets back.

This^^^^

We have to get by Donks & Pats, then hopefully get him back for the fish.

Mafe, Hall & Jones is still a trio much of the league would love to have. As he said...NEXT MAN UP!!!
