I've long believed that the league should suspend players for dirty hits, equal to the time the injured player is out.
I used to think the same but the more I thought about it I realized teams would start cheating the system whenever they could.

Imagine if a guy like Aaron Donald injured a journeyman lineman just brought up from the practice squad? If it’s me I put that journeyman on IR and watch the Rams cry over losing their best player for the year.

Since it would be too easy to work the system like this it just wouldn’t work.

I do think that they should be more proactive in suspending repeat offenders for longer and longer periods of time though.

Thing is he was hit at the knee and then high by the RB so he had to take the knee hit and absorb the high hit, if he had that leg planted it would have been all over, hopefully it's just a sprain.

Yeah, I know. Too much at stake for teams not to take advantage. Should be more than just fines, though.

Just wondering, does anyone else wonder if it wasn’t on purpose with Nwosu? He had just been flagged for roughing the passer. Wouldn’t be a stretch to have player retaliation.

1. It wasn’t a rough hit by Nwosu.
2. It was tge backup qb. No one is losing money for a backup qb

Winston will probably start more than Watson. Watson has started only 6 games each year that he’s been with the Browns.

Roughing was definitely ticky tack but the very next play he’s chopped and injured. Whether the injury was on purpose I’d like to doubt but I am not so sure about the blocking. He’s the type of guy that draws double teams.

I thought I heard it might be MCL. No, I don't have a link, just a friend who is usually on top of these stories.

Just came across the wire that this is an MCL sprain. He'll miss some time but will be back.
