Wilson called him and he either dialed *67 to make his number private/block or he has his phone set to private which will have either private or block calls on the receiver caller id. It's also possible he called his carrier and requested to have his phone be set to private when he first got his phone and has been calling anomalously ever since.

There are always the other side of the story but I can see how someone can be offended by it. Would Lynch still feel offended if Wilson makes calls privately to everyone?

I also checked Wilson's stats that game vs the Titans.

Wilson was 23/31 w/ 74.2% completion 257yards passing 60yards rushing 98.5 rating. Not exactly a bad game

Seahawks were 5-1 and this was one of Wilson better games at the time.

One thing about Marshawn is you know hes telling the truth...you can't tell he knew more and held back. Its amazing how dysfunctional this team got after dangerwich threw that int in the sb. Team really was ruined because of this guy..

It's the 'What Might Have Been' that many around here are dwelling on, I mean just how much better COULD he/ they have been if there were no communication barriers between Wilson & his crew.
Some of this walling off (protecting EGO's) could have been on Pete for trying to be the peacemaker, because the Communications were somewhat stifled & the organics of melding stymied.
You are right in that the intelligence of the players SHOULDN'T be a factor, but blocking a teammate can and likely did alienate.

I loved him while he was here…until a certain point.

But, supporting him now and not putting things into perspective is one of the most non-seahawky things you can do imo.

I agree it was a bad throw by Russ. However, do you disagree that maybe his height had to do with the throw being late? He was throwing into a crowded area of the field (short field) and needed time to see an open lane. The chance of it being risky was pretty high even before that play was executed. There were many things that went wrong with that play starting with play call, personnel group that was on the field for the play, and execution.

Josh Johnson, his cousin. Bounced around to 14 different teams and 3 different leagues, so not a great QB but was probably a good practice squad QB.

I don't care what anybody says, I stand my ground. It was a horrible call. You have a 2nd year and shortest QB in the league throwing a short pass over and through players much taller and bigger than him to a receiver running a crossing route in heavy traffic just beyond the goal line. If you were going to throw a pass there, it should have been something like RW rolling out and only throwing a pass that a Seahawk receiver could catch, or you throw it away. You still have two downs, and a TO remaining.

And, of course, they could have just handed it off to ML instead and if he doesn't make it, you still have that TO remaining.

How could that play have been the default call?

Bad call, ill-advised pass, memory that just won't die.

The other question is why did Marshawn have to call him in the first place? Couldn't he have walked up to him in the locker room and said it to him there? With all that trouble he had to get his number, it may have been easier to find him at practice, in the locker room, in the huddle, etc.

I think it was a bitch move by Beastmode. Another man going to social media talking about another dude, that happened in the "locker room". Of all people, Lynch knows how the media will portray it. His whole motto was not to talk to the media because he experienced it himself w/ Buffalo. Now he joins Richard Sherm as gossip girl for the whole world to see.

Also remember Lynch has had how many DUI? Drugs & gun possession. He also had a hit in run incident. He had a lot of issues in college too w/ drinking. He had hold out in camp, missing practice, not talking with Pete. only seahawk player that didn't go see the president after the SB. The list goes on. This is just physical facts exposed to the audience, what other stuff behind the scenes i wonder.

He should have just said I didn't F*** w/ Pete and Wilson was just my QB. Not, tip toe around it by saying well i dont want to sound like im taking shots and then goes full detail on an block number incident. Just for the record Lynch is one of my fav players, but he went Bitchmode on this.

If I am in a Dark alley and need someone to have my back between Wilson and Lynch I would take Lynch every day, hour and Minute and twice on Sunday with a **** Ya from him. Who would you take?

For example, Wilson graduated with a 4.0 in communications studies. However, he did not know how to communicate effectively with his teammates.

So, what does aptitude have to do with anything? Even the smartest people struggle to connect with others.

What if they had won? Now you might have guys that would take a discount just to stick around and try to earn a third ring. Bevell is the one who made the calls. I can see a situation where Pete said we are going to throw it, and then Bevell sent the play in. Its been pretty well documented that Pete was good with A pass in that situation given the down, time out situation and the package NE sent in. But the call? that was Bevell.

Its also known (been reported) that Bevell had beef with members of the LOB. Not sure if it predated the SB loss, but there were for certain reports of verbal disagreements between Darrel and at least one member of the defense.
