If Richardson were available at 5, would the Hawks have selected him?

Wrong

I went off an article from the Seahawks website https://www.seahawks.com/news/go-wi...seahawks-draft-room-during-the-2023-nfl-draft

And an article that basically backed up what was said and done draft day/and in the draft room.

As well as JS saying as much. It’s not a matter of speculation when the JS has also came out and said as much. What’s so genuinely hard to understand or comprehend about it?
What part of that article do you think backs up what you're saying? I genuinely don't understand your issues with reading comprehension.

I didn't say the QB was deemed worthy though. Mediocre-to-average QBs get crazy deals. Teams hate giving up even average QBs, so they overpay by 20-40% just so they don't lose them.
Also remember that paying someone 50M doesn't mean they will have even one good season on their new contract. The team is on the hook no matter what, but the player is not required to actually live up to the deal.
Wasting one of the top picks in the draft so you can drastically overpay after 1 or 2 *decent* seasons is the kind of move that teams at the bottom make.
Buffalo agrees 100% with this take. Definitely feel they wasted the first two years of Josh Allen's contract and regret picking him.

If you haven’t or are not going to take the time to read it or the other article quoting JS in the stuff he’s written or said as well as stuff linked by other people here then I’m not going to bother discussing it further with you as your simply just looking to spin or somehow straw man it.

I've read it multiple times to find what you're referencing. Look, you seem committed to claiming you know the unknowable. In any event, you're not discussing anything. You're stubbornly digging into your position that what you think to be true is, in fact, true. It's really not possible to engage with this type of mindset.

Irrelevant and dull thread, carry on or maybe consider going to a Colts forum.
Omg, I don’t get the Anthony Richardson obsession. Dude appears to be much closer to Andre Ware than to Lamar Jackson. We had another solid draft, so glad the Hawks used the brain and not the heart on draft night.

If they wanted AR they easily could have gave up the picks to do so.
They were going to trade 5 off if Anderson and Spoon were gone so
thats enough for me.
I'll be watching enough of AR since this is the Colts state..I will be
posting what I see and hear in the NFL forum.
I want to see if I'm correct that he's nothing special and average at
best.
I doubt we could have actually traded for a draft position that would have secured Richardson. The Cardinals wouldn't have wanted to trade with us without it being prohibitively expensive for us, and they were the only potential trade partner.

Richardson could end up being quite spectacular. It doesn't mean he was on the Seahawks' draft board at that high position, though. In a similar way, I'll be watching to see what Carter does in Philly. But even if he does spectacularly well there, it doesn't mean it was a mistake to pass on him and take Witherspoon.

The greatest qb of all time doesn't even look like he lifts weights. So why the fuss over a super athletic QB with accuracy issues? Richardson looks like a project that will get his GM and coach fired
