Not surprised. If it were me, I'd definitely go with Young.

That's an example of the passive voice in English being used to create a narrative that doesn't exist. But the headline would be much less catchy if it just said "Bryce Young is Adam Schefter's favorite pick at #1."

Huge difference between "believed to be" and "slated to be".

Were gonna see a lot of bs in the media until the draft...then it gets all blown up when its the consensus 1 going the entire time.

I know he’s small but I’d go Young. His tape is incredible and he just seems like he has something that is rare.

It's the same almost every year..Qb's get so over hyped and look what happens?
A Brock Purdy comes out and outplays them all.
Young only gets noticed by where he played and it's the soft era propping up the
soft match stick..I bet you loved Tua and thought he was all that then too.

Anyone remember the hype on Mariota and Winston..hyped generational talents who turned out to be huge disappointments.
For your reminder about the busts Mariota and Winston you are thanked. (Was reminded by BlueTalon that passive voice exists)
Haven't really watched Young's tape, but Winston and Mariota could be sobering reminders of the downside of picking someone like Anthony Richardson. Also the ex-Raiders QB who set the NFL record for longest TD run by a QB is a warning data point. Can't recall his name offhand. Hawks brought him in after he QB-busted to look at him as a WR or TE.

Nope wasn’t a fan of Tua at all. Young is a better prospect by far although Tua has been pretty good too.

I thought it'd be Stroud.
Me too..

I had read somewhere that Scott Fitterer likes bigger, more prototypical QB's. That's why some "in the knows" wouldn't dismiss the possibility of Levis being the first pick.

Stroud seems to have his fair share of the it factor as well.

Watching Bryce Young tonight against the Saints, to me, he looks overmatched. Too small, too slow, not a great arm. I was a big fan of his game, but I'm glad he didn't fall to #5.
