#1 overall pick:
But a guy like Jalen Carter who averages 2 tackles per game and a sack every 6th game, is going to suddenly lead this team to a playoff contender? What makes a guy more/less a crapshoot is what he shows on his college tape. Wherever number they all end up getting drafted, there’s a big drop off from Young/Stroud to Levis/Richardson.
Agreed. I think AR should have stayed another year, but he didn't. So, one has to project what he would be if he had stayed in. Hard to do, admittedly. What makes a guy more/less a crapshoot is what he shows on his college tape. Agreed. Carter will be available at pick 5 guaranteed. There’s just way too many red flags especially if he likes his drink a little too much. I Already had reservations regarding his work ethic and character.john schneider ain't picking jalen carter at #5. let's move on from that idea.
and richardson might not even be available at #5 at this point. his combine and interviews have pushed his stock way way up.
Trade down, if possible, and draft DL.Ok, lets assume we're not taking Carter no matter what. And that you strongly believe Richardson, Anderson, Young, and Stroud will not be available at 5. What do you do if you're the Hawks: Try to trade up? Stay put and take Levis? Or trade back?

the odds are probably getting better by the day.I wonder what the odds are that the first 4 picks are all QBs?
#5, #20, #37 and a high pick in next years draft. because consider it wouldn't just be us bidding for #1.I'm not an expert on draft pick values. Would trading #5 and #20 be enough to get up to #1?
It depends on what other teams are offering, but most likely also would need to add in 2024 1stI'm not an expert on draft pick values. Would trading #5 and #20 be enough to get up to #1?
Depends on how motivated Chicago is to move the first pick and how much competition there is for the first pick.Las Vegas odds on February 16 that Richardson is the first overall pick: 80 to 1. Las Vegas odds on March 5: 4 to 1 (second behind only Bryce Young).

Based on the trade chart, the cost would be: 5, 20 & 37. Or something like- 5, 20, 51 & a 3rd/4th.I'm not an expert on draft pick values. Would trading #5 and #20 be enough to get up to #1?
