Everyone keeps saying D this D that.. pedestrian second half etc.

He had his moments and managed the game.. our run schematic was terrible they kept trying to sweep Penny out and everyone knows thats where he can really break it... and with a new LT.. MEH

But in my opinion based on decision making etc etc.. GENO only had two bad plays which were throws that SHOULD be made.. and he threw them into the dirt

I see clamoring on RW stats.. but.. he got some throws off on 2 plays that were CLEARLY HOLDS.. (From even stadium view), plus a very tick tacky PI call.. and a completely missed chain measure

My wife.. who isnt SUPER football.. was like "They look like the Seahawks from last year"

I literally saw the same game that he played here.. for Denver.. in fact, some how it FELT like they ran more.. even though he attempted 45 times with low accuracy

Stadium was loud, we had a blast.. and everyone on the team balled out to make this about us and not him

People are nitpicking here on ateam we know wont win the super bowl.. but being competitive IS the priority. Its how you gain more interest. Do we win more than 7? Maybe? Maybe not... IF Wilson can't beat this team though, good luck in your division and thanks for at least a #15 pick ;)

Not to mention, Russell was lucky our DBs cant catch otherwise he would have had 2 boneheaded INTs.

I think we had a chance for three. One hit Adams in the face, one Diggs dropped like it was too hot, and another one somewhere.

No he is not good, never will be good, but he plays a fairly mistake free game which makes him borderline mediocre. We are so myopic that anyone who does not screw up too much is deemed good.

You can show me every stat in the book but dude ain't good and will be benched in about 3 weeks. I can think of 3 starting Qb's I would take Geno over.

No defensive coordinator in the league is saying OMG it's Geno Smith this week :) stack the box and see how well he beats anybody...

Wilson's only TD pass in the game could have been an interception if an experienced NFL cornerback had been covering Jeudy. The ball was badly underthrown and could easily have been intercepted.

100%. The homer approach says he's the next HoF QB. So much Geno love. Admittedly he's probably playing his best football, but we are 2-3 with 2 wins lost because he couldn't execute down the stretch.

The Geno lovers will say "but the D" and "he put up 40PPG last two, we should win!" - that's a false narrative, obviously, but the homerheads can't see it.

Geno is a .500 QB at best. I don't know why we'd roll him out or extend him. No way.

That isn’t true at all. We’re 2-3 because we can’t stop the run. Geno has done what has been asked of him and even balled out in the process. He leads the league in passer rating and QBR so don’t place blame on the wrong person here. If the defense pulls their weight this would be a 4-1 team minimum right now

Realistically, the Hawks should be 1-4
Really real realistic is the fact that they’re 2-3 with 12 games left and the league’s number one offense DVOA. Wake up guy….if they tweak a few things defensively and get right this could be a playoff team

For QB's that have over 100 attempts this season, Geno Smith is:

12th in Yards passing
1st in % completed
8th in TDs
2nd in fewest INTs (tied with 6 others)
1st in QB rating

Games are not decided by any single player or by the coaches. They are decided by the ability of ALL players to execute a play properly. Being fairly mistake free is the #1 attribute EVERY coach in the NFL looks for in ALL players, especially the QB.

Lol how? You are confusing realistically with an extremely negative assumption. If anything, they should’ve been 3-2 with the screw job last Sunday.

But reality is they’re 2-3.
He's likely gonna say something about mistakes made by the other team, as if that isn't literally a part of the game.
