Blitz RW & the Donkey's all day long and put everyone on high alert for #3 to tuck & run on passing downs.
We know RW's limitations in the pocket and that his wheels aren't what they used to be, a couple of hard warning shots will be a great equalizer/welcome home. Send him back to Colorado with a loss on his first donkey ride.

Media perception to RW has always been funny. The first 3-4 years he was considered a game manager whose contribution to the teams wins was not much. After that the media consensus shifted so that everything the Seahawks get is solely because RW is so great and there is no support around him.. Never any middle ground.

Having watched pretty much all his snaps as a professional player, I actually think both of those takes are just talking heads not really knowing what they are talking about, just going along with the easiest estimation.

Great player but needs a solid supporting cast and the right tactics. Can seem completely lost for three quarters of a game and sometimes play the best football imaginable. Somewhat moody as a player. Not the type who can just evolve as the teams needs change like Rodgers or Brady.

If the team around him is great, he can win the league. Especially if the defense is great. However, with his chunk of the salary cap, the window will be short as the supporting cast cannot be maintained for long. The quote is kinda honest but also just arrogant and not very smart.

There is a lot of anger from some posters here. Seems pretty over the top to me. Some here want to see it one way, and one way only. that is your prerogative. Scutterhawk I never claimed or thought Russ carried them to the super bowl all by his lonesome(they wouldn't have made it without him either) and quite frankly that wasn't what Russ said. HE IS TALKING ABOUT THE CURRENT STATE OF THE TEAM and he isn't wrong. These last few years the D and O were not great outside of Russ. If we had had Geno leading us we would not have been making the playoffs guaranteed.

Do you have any issue at all with how Russ handled his exit? Serious question. Personally I just felt he got a little phony at the end.
May be, just may be Russ has always been phony, sweet like 40 years tawny. Just that lately some found out that it ain't 40 years tawny, it's $10 porto with brown sugar added.

You have ZERO WAYS to proving, let alone "Guaranteeing" anything of the sort.
The Seahawks have already started on reconstructing the Offensive Line since Wilson has split for Mile High Donkoland....They Drafted for a more conventional, & linear style of Quarterback play, and THAT'S what the "CURRENT STATE OF THE TEAM" is rectifying right NOW --> The Wilson style of Constantly Scrambling out of clean pockets?, yeah, it's hella-not how Offensive Linemen are trained to Protect their signal callers.
You CANNOT have your Quarterback continually hanging onto the ball, and running around like a chicken with it's head cut off.
Russ is all about Russ & HIS OWN GOLDEN legacy, OH AND!!!! I love living "Rent Free" in John63's head.

The current state of our team has NOTHING to do with Russell Wilson, he left and we changed.

The state of our team in 2021? Here we go:
  1. Before Wilson's return from injury, We were 2-3 with Wilson, 1-2 with Geno. I credit the lost to Rams to Russ, when he left the game, we trailed by 9 points, we finished the game losing by 10. I think it's fair.
  2. Our offense were ranked higher in the 3 games with Geno than the following 6 games by Wilson. Our offense rebounded when Penny took off in the last 5 games. Do you want to credit Penny runs to Wilson? I won't.
Sorry Nate, Russell Wilson did not carry the team in 2021. He was a liability if you serious analyze the season. Russ did provide some highlight films, running in circle and long bumbs, and I enjoyed that.

The Brand's ego is so big now I dont think he will be able to fit his head through the tunnel at mile high or whatever that shithole is called. This just verifies what many players that he used to play with already know and what some non blind fans also have been seeing. He may have some success but will never win a super bowl in Denver. I hope he shits the bed and Ciara leaves him for horseface John Elway 😄....is that too much??

people can hate on him but sherm is a smart guy
I must confess that I agreed and supported the dismantling of LOB post '14 super bowl. At that time, I felt the team need to move on from elements that were hostile to Russell Wilson. I felt those hostilities was preventing Wilson to perform 100% and I believed any offense with Wilson could carry the team without a strong defense.

I was wrong, we didn't go deep into playoff once Wilson took over, his offense was far from carrying the team and regress year after year. Sherm was right that Wilson was the problem, if only Pete listened to Sherm instead of Russ.

Is this all you got??? You need to come up with at least something a little bit more creative...hell you stole this from a member here and made it your own and just keep saying it over and over...that is not healthy. You probably got a t shirt made too. Deniro/The Fan = John63...your obsession for your hero is a legitimate health concern...hows things on the Broncos forums?

Don't expect a reply...he has 98 percent of .net blocked when anyone is calling out his bullshit or of someone hurt his feelings when someone criticizes his hero. The obsession is downright scary....

Yes he took it from Soulfish..
Maybe he likes the Bronco board too much
He's going to busy defending Russ on both
boards in 2 weeks so maybe he's resting up!

I haven't said that in months, but fair enough. Mutual split, glad he's gone at this point. Been over it for a very long time.
He was my favorite player, but I moved on. It's the people who hate the guy that are obsessed. Waste of energy, but do you. He wanted out, clearly. We got a haul for him.

I can buy that he meant is as why he chose Denver over other teams. But considering how careful and planned everything Wilson says publicly is, I do find it odd he would make that comment in a way that could be taken as a slight. Obviously from his response Sherm feels the same way. He made a little misstep like that the off-season before the "I am tired of getting hit so much" year. He said the team "needed more starts". I didn't think much of it as a fan but then KJ Wright spoke on that on a podcast he was guest on. That is a slight towards your current teammates to make a comment like that in public.
