Lets be honest: which 3rd round reach will hawks draft at #9?

Ima go with a running back......like the sixth overall running back with an injury history, or a part time linebacker from Utah State Community College. There will be rumors somebody wanted him just after us. In four years he will be a marginally good player.

By definition any QB in R1 is a R3 value.
With this class, that sounds about right. The reason I chose Howell specifically is because I've heard he has the best deep ball in this draft. That's all I needed to hear to be sure that Pete will fall in love with him. Even if we don't draft him with our first selection, Sam Howell will be a Seahawk.

I know this post was hyperbole, but two "reaches" I could easily see happening at 9 are Trevor Penning and Desmond Ridder.

I actually have Howell as my No. 1 QB in this draft, so I wouldn't hate that, even if it would be a huge surprise. I've been hoping we can get back into the late first round for him.

Some guy with tons of potential but just shook off a rape charge. But it’s okay because they will have done tons of research on him.

With two seconds round picks , not likely that we use our 9th on a 3rd round reach.

Schneider has only had a top-15 pick three times, and only one of those was a top-ten pick.

The "third-round reach" Schneider took with his one top-ten pick turned into an eleven-year starter with two Pro Bowls at left tackle.

The "third-round reaches" Schneider took with his other two top-15 picks turned into:
  • a seven-year starter with a ten-year (and counting) career, when the average NFL career of a first-round pick is nine years
  • a ten-year starter who was on five All-Pro teams and seven Pro Bowl teams, made the great Seahawks defenses work, and could have had an even longer career if his own dumbassery hadn't kept it from happening.
I'm hoping the "third-round reach" Schneider takes in this draft does as badly as the previous ones did.

Not considering him a 3rd rounder, but I could see Seattle pulling the trigger on Sam Williams there.

Seattle has been pretty firm they desperately want to improve pass rush. And if there's a run on DE in the first 8 picks, I could see us just standing pat and pulling the trigger (lessons of 2019 draft).

Just kind of got a vibe he'd be more to our liking than Karlaftis/Ebiketie. Somewhat similar to Irvin over Quintin Coples/Chandler Jones in 2012.

Lol b/c we've lived it in previous drafts. For the sanity of Seahawks fans everywhere, please don't overreach too much. We know it's gonna happen though. Smh

I just don't see the value in these hyperbolic nonsense threads. They're unoriginal and everyone says the same exact thing.

Unlike the OP, I'll actually offer a name: Ebiketie.

I really want Jordan Davis. "Hyperboyle" hahah. This is not a Jordan Davis topic. There is already one of those and it is good and weighs the risks. Pro and Con. He could be an anchor on our shiney new 3-4 scheme under a rookie deal for 5 years. Building up the trenches. He will be available. We are gonna waltz right passed him. We will just keep plugging in journeyman D lineman because at number nine the Hawks will trade down into the second tier of the first round and draft.......RB Isaiah Spiller, Texas A&M (JR, 6'0", 217 pounds). With the extra pick CB Kaiir Elam, Florida...three years from now neither will be on the team. The draft room isnt the same as ten years ago. That was the point expressing some frustration.

It’s easy then. You don’t read them and don’t respond. Done.

I think they’re funny and the Seahawks have had some truly terrible first round draft picks. I don’t even consider Bruce Irvin successful.

The talent evaluators from the Russell Okung and Earl Thomas draft have clearly left the room.

On a bright note we seem to be a little better at drafting offensive lineman since the disaster that was Tom Cable left town.

I mean, it just adds nothing. It's barely even a thought.

Using the same logic, you needn't reply to my comment should you disagree, but that's obviously not how things work.

Of course it is. Which is why it’s pointless to complain about topics. It offers nothing and waste’s time.
