At what point does a player become worthy of an extension?
So when is it smart?I think you are confused……Seahawks paid
Wilson
Wags
Carson
Brown
Diggs
Lockett
sherman
thomas
Wright
plus many others.
The question is, when is it smart to pay a player and when it is not smart.
Certainly not when a QB with major limitations will want to be the highest paid QB in the league to the tune of $51M/year (if not more). So when is it smart?
just seems like were turning into the browns of the past and the lions and all these basement dwellers that dont pay anyone and just ship off players before their next contract. ship out dk, we may as well ship out anyone before they can hit a second contract.Certainly not when a QB with major limitations will want to be the highest paid QB in the league to the tune of $51M/year (if not more).
Third contracts to a player have tended to be bad for the team. Although I’d say the first couple years of BWags third deal was worth it, but the last two made sense to renegotiate or move on from.So when is it smart?
I believe I just listed a bunch of core Seahawks who received second contracts.just seems like were turning into the browns of the past and the lions and all these basement dwellers that dont pay anyone and just ship off players before their next contract. ship out dk, we may as well ship out anyone before they can hit a second contract.
I agree with this. second contracts to good/great players are almost always worth it. shows the rest of the team it is worth it to come in and play hard. I think trading DK sends a bad message IMO.Third contracts to a player have tended to be bad for the team. I think second contracts the team has given out to its core players have worked pretty well.
free agent deals, are probably a hit and miss, Amy e 50/50 case.
I couldn't agree more. I think it will send a bad message and be a bit of a morale killer for the team.I agree with this. second contracts to good/great players are almost always worth it. shows the rest of the team it is worth it to come in and play hard.
