Allen is balling right now. Straight gamer. Brutal stiff arm for the first down. Quick passes to beat Aaron Donald. Long bombs for the TD. He can do it all.
Allen's ball velocity of 62mph is the highest in the league. Just saying, Geno and Russ, yes Russ was 55 mph, Lock? haha 54 mph.Allen is balling right now. Straight gamer. Brutal stiff arm for the first down. Quick passes to beat Aaron Donald. Long bombs for the TD. He can do it all.
He has Fd up a lot of drafts also.JS is playing chess. For those of you calling for his head remember that he was actively into Mahomes and Allen. He kinda knows what he is doing.
He also drafted Russell Wilson, Boddy Wagner, and company. He has Fd up a lot of drafts also.
He wouldn't have been a game manager. Let's not act like these guys don't weigh arm strength and downfield passing heavily.Seeing the way Allen is playing, him being a Game Manager for the Seahawk Offense would have been a very bad idea.
Tonight's game, 31 passes and 25 runs, the Bills played balanced balls. Averaging 4.8 yards per run didn't hurt either. When it comes to arm strength, Allen is in his own league. He wouldn't have been a game manager. Let's not act like these guys don't weigh arm strength and downfield passing heavily.
How many SB's has Allen won with a much better roster? I think Russ to this point has been better than Allen but Allen has a bright future and would of been great here too.Hintsight is 20/20, but wouldn't the Hawks be better of with Allen? With Russ, we didn't really get anywhere, did we?
You know who else is a game manager? Tom Brady. He'll throw for 4000 yards when that's what the team needs, but he'll also happily ride a workhorse running back all the way to a championship. He doesn't give a crap about winning MVP....which makes him far more likely to. Russ was accused of being a game manager when we went to two super bowls. If he'd been MORE of a game manager instead of trying to be the super bowl MVP, we'd probably have two championships.Seeing the way Allen is playing, him being a Game Manager for the Seahawk Offense would have been a very bad idea.
Umm the superbowl? Twice?Hintsight is 20/20, but wouldn't the Hawks be better of with Allen? With Russ, we didn't really get anywhere, did we?

Please, give me a game manager with Josh Allen's talent.
You have far far too much confidence in Pete on that one Keasely.
Based on the past 5-7 years, it seems that an Allen under Carroll would be much much less effective. Much lower risk, a lot less throws. More of the throws on 3rd downs when the run game cannot move us the first few downs.
We surely would have been better the past 5 years, but due to our tendency to squander cap space on nobodies, not sure we would be as good as it would seem on first glance.
I was at that game where Dishman ran it back, and Reich (who I had never heard of at the time) came in for Kelly to win the game in the 2nd half. It was pretty amazing, even from the nosebleeds. Buffalo deserves a winner. That is a great football city (though an ugly city). I am happy for them.
Used to love that team, with Cornelius Bennet, Talley, Bruce Smith, and Jim Kelly was incredible to watch*. Never was a fan of Thurman Thomas but realize in hindsight that him looking for his helmet on the sidelines was probably the sign of a concussion. Thomas was a great RB though if it wasn't the SB.
* Was at Fort Drum at the time, so you got the Buffalo games when they were not blacked out. It wasn't me abandoning the Hawks, they were not available. You get stationed in NY - you watch a lot of Knicks, Bills and Giants games.
That would be impossible to do if you are running 2/3 of your drive.
The throws would be more on 3rd down with the defenses pinning their ears back on you.
No doubt Carroll would love Allen. But I highly doubt Allen would put up near the same numbers or have near the same success, with Carroll trying to sit on the ball.
LOLOL And you act like Allen wouldn't have been a major upgrade to Geno. You guys act like Russ stopped the trade and/or Allen would have been just as good in Seattle.
It's 2022. This trade was talked about in 2018. You want to trade RW in 2018, who just came off 38 TDs and 11 INT and almost 4000 yards passing for a rookie QB from Wyoming?LOLOL And you act like Allen wouldn't have been a major upgrade to Geno.
