Why are the PeteHawks so bad at screens?

It’s the blocking, and the timing, always S-L-O-W so the opposition can react.

With John L. Williams, Chuck Knox ran great screen plays. It's been a long time since we've seen consistently well-executed screens to a running back.

Furthermore, why are they so bad at DEFENDING screens??
