This team hasn't had a legit top end pass rusher since prime Bennett. It's not like they haven't tried to invest in that position, it just hadn't worked out yet.

And I completely agree. You need a dominant pass rusher in today's NFL. Hopefully they can figure it out.

Bennett was also on a prove it deal when they signed him. Partnered with signing Avril at the same time which made teams make a scheme decision on whom to double. People fail to realize how much losing Nwosu impacted.

Maybe on Nwosu but maybe not. Did you see his numbers while being opposite Bosa on the Chargers. Very underwhelming considering teams were likely scheming for the other guy.

Bennett averaged 0.52 sacks per game at Seattle.

Nwosu has averaged 0.5 sacks per game at Seattle.

Boye has averaged 0.3626 so far in his career.

Interesting to note, PFF grades Mafe (73.9) higher than Nwosu (68.5).

It doesn't look like really anyone is clamoring for us to take a defensive lineman in the 1st round. I think we can all agree it's time we drafted a QB.
