I rarely watch live broadcasts. I DVR virtually all broadcasts. I have also become an avid fan of the fast forward button.
Sports is very hard to do this with, especially football because you're normally not only excited for the game but you're with other people at parties or whatever.
I'd love to be able to DVR the games, but we're always at a Hawk party.
I also enjoy and embrace game day social interaction.
My game day activities are a little different. I most often stop by a local sports bar with
fans of multiple teams watching multiple broadcasts. I find it entertaining and enjoyable to watch fan reaction to broadcasts while joking around and trading punch lines. We all have a good time. So much so, I really can't keep up with the unfolding story of any one game.
For me, a recording of a game I am interested in, is essential for a more complete understanding and enjoyment of specific game action. With a recording, one can slow mo, freeze, enhance, fast forward and rewind.
