Decent year for him given his poor stretch early on he’s really come on strong as of late. Between Taylor, Nwosu and hopefully Carter they have a shot at an elite D line in a year or 2.
Only Jacob Green has had more sacks in his first two seasons as a Seahawk with 18.0
Most sacks in the first 33 games of their career by players drafted in 2020 draft:

1. Darrell Taylor 15.0 (2nd round, 48th pick)
2. Josh Uche 14.5 (2, 60)
3. D.J. Wonnum 13.0 (4, 117)
4. Alex Highsmith 11.0 (3, 102)

7. Chase Young 9.0 (1st, 2)

8.5 sacks. He was borderline unplayable in October and November. He really turned it around in December.

Sacks come in streaks. When a guy gets a few, teams scheme against him for a while.

He was injured but I hear ya. Taylor is a freak when healthy no questioning his game anymore. He’s quality and what we can build on

Still struggles to set the edge, which is required for a 3-4 OLB.
Andre Carter out of Army is a freak I hope he’s still on the board mid first round for our second pick

One if the worst run defenders in the NFL.

But he can be an effective designated pass rusher on passing downs.

Can Mafe be the yin to his yang?

Not impressed by Taylor. He's extremely one dimensional and easy to shutdown even in passing situations.

He's a situational player with one party trick at this point.

That party trick is worth millions.

Agreed. He has no real pass rush moves and has an inability to shed blocks. His only real strength is a speed rush if he's able to properly time the snap count, typically at home with the help of the 12s. Which backfires royally if a team runs a draw or screen to his side.

He severely lacks any upper body strength, poor hand fighting techniques. Once a lineman gets their hands on him, he's out for that play.

Unless he can develop a spin move and get better with his hands, this unfortunately will be the best we see from him. Around 10 sacks per year, which casuals will answer with "I'll take that in a heartbeat" despite the numerous problematic flaws to his game. Not to mention his low football IQ, lack of situational awareness, and poor character.

He’s more situational like a healthy Alton Robinson but that’s where this next draft comes into play. He’s still good value when healthy and good in the rotation. Carter out of Army has a motor tho and would be a perfect fit with our number 2 pick if he makes it out of the top ten undrafted

Realistically that is what made the 2013 defensive line so potent was it's rotation, not necessarily having just one guy that constantly created problems-even though you could make that argument for Michael Bennett but even still he was more lethal with the rotational talent he had around him-that is why it's so important that the team nail this next draft as well as getting a top tier pick for that line.

is it? He only has one move and most of his sacks and pressures have come within the last few games. He's a liability in everything but clear passing downs. A one dimensional player that doesn't necessarily win a high percentage of his matchups.

Not impressed by his play this season and you shouldn't be either. Besides, before this game his statline would be only be 6 sacks, most of them coming against depleted offensive lines.

He has been absolute shit this season, despite his sacks going up late in the year. He was my pick as our breakout player this season and I was wrong. This will be like the 700th consecutive draft where finding a pass rush is our top priority.
