Refresh refresh refresh.

Still no news on the OC. Wonder what's taking so long. Thought Grubb would be hired by now.

With it taking this long, it's a pretty good bet that the new OC is from the Chiefs or 49ers.
theres talk that coach mike wants umm i forgot the name from the chiefs to be DC

Coaches from the SB teams that have received interest from other teams:

SF QB: Brian Griese
SF TE: Brian Fleury
No KC Offensive coaches that I know of

SF DC: Steve Wilks has had HC interviews
No KC Defensive Coaches that I know of

Interesting prospects:

SF OL/Run Game OC: Chris Foerster
SF Assistant HC/RB: Anthony Lynn
KC Pass Game OC: Joe Bleymaier

KC DL Joe Cullen
KC LB Brendan Daly
SF DL Kris Kocurek

Aden Durde, Cowboys' defensive line coach, who is in the running to be Dallas's DC is being interviewed by the Seahawks for DC:

There's word this morning that they're interviewing Chip Kelly for OC.

When I heard that, it felt really disappointing. What happened to Grubb or Engstrand? Kelly would be like cold water on the excitement of a fresh start under Mcdonald.

well has John and Mac talked to Grubb or Engstrand yet? Could be a leverage thing if we have to hopefully make a decision, if not then why have they not spoken?

I wonder who it might be with KC or the 9ers that they might be waiting to interview for OC... if anyone.

The obvious holdover...

KELLY
ENGSTRAND
BIENEMI

..BLEYMAIER ?
..GRIESE?

I still think that given Mike's comment about not prioritizing playcalling experience on O, I'm leaning away from Kelly and Bienemi.

Has to be a young buck. My money is on Bleymaier. He's been moving up through the ranks and has touched a good bit of the KC offense.

Just a guess....

That's the only thing that makes sense to me. The Seahawks gave me the strong sense of being deliberate & decisive in the coaching search, at least in how they handled Macdonald and Frazier. This apparent delay with regards to hiring coordinators feels like dawdling, but I'm confident it isn't, so I can only assume they're waiting for something specific.

Seahawks are the final team to name an OC.

The rest of the league has now picked their guy so perhaps the team is waiting ona particular guy or just haven’t decided.

Once again time is truly not as important as getting the right guy.

I'm getting a little antsy, but I'm tempering it with the knowledge that the Super Bowl is this Sunday, removing the final barrier to interviewing anyone on those two staffs we might be interested in.

I can’t figure out who on offense they would be waiting for? Have any KC/SF offensive coaches leaked as potential candidates?

I’m glad they’re patient but they do need to give the OC time to have some input on Geno since a deadline exists for his contract 4 days after the SB

I must say I check for news many times every day.
