Mariota reminds me of a more cerebral Cam Newton, am I off in this?

Not as strong as Newton, but yeah. A rich man's Kaep.

I was trying to give Mariota credit, way to knock the man and mention THAT guy.

I guess taking a guy and drive blocking him 30 yards out of the play is a penalty? Who knew?

That was Walter Jones'ish.

Maybe Kaep, but with Wilsons personality and work ethic.

He's who Kaep wants to be when he grows up. Mariota would do well to stay at UO for another year, though I hope he defects. The kid is NFL ready now, but with another year? Has the potential to be the deadliest dual threat in the NFL.

Maybe it's the thumb but Price doesn't seem to have the same zip on his passes that I've seen in the past.

Wade is the man I want the hawks to take in the 5-6th round.

The difference you're seeing today is the difference of Oregon getting a decade of top recruiting classes and UW only recently getting decent classes. It makes a huge difference. There's a reason the SEC teams who dominate recruiting dominate college football.

It's pretty tough to compete with the Ducks when they've been in the national spotlight as long as they have and you haven't done crap in ages. The key to college football is being able to recruit top talent. UW is only now getting back to even semi-relevance on a national stage. I'd love to beat the Ducks as much as anyone. But they're playing us with a crazy stacked deck at this point. It's like Magic or Pokemon cards. UW is playing with the starter deck. The Phil Knight's have all of the booster packs $ can buy. ;)

Give it time guys. We're on the right track.

Agree'd. Esecially in the trenches.

Plus, the Ducks are just further along in their progression in mastery of this offense.
